    Reminds me of something.

My Filipino Brother in Law is a great artist. He had a beautiful pencil painting of the fishermens huts at a beach nearby. Including of course the TV-antennae.

I asked him if he could do the same painting again for me but omit the TV-antennae. He did it but without the slightes bit of understanding why.
Lol..yeah. It is a matter of taste. I saw a woman on the street in the French Quarter doing pencil drawings. I asked if she took things out. Her answer was, no that she wanted people to see her drawing and then walk by the place and recognize it.

One of the things I like about PS is the ability to take out power lines when shooting old buildings.

Lunch is always your best bet for bargains in Tokyo- actually, that is probably true at the nicer joints here in BKK, too. 880 yen (about 310 baht) all-in for that, and the portions were really amazing. Friendly service too. The sea urchin was as fresh as it comes, no trace of bitterness.

If nobody minds I'll post a photo of an amazing sushi bargain I found near where I stayed in Shibamata (home of Tora-san). This was 550 yen at Ito-Yokado:

Some of the salmon roe spilled over on the way home, although the shop had put a couple of the red caviar on the bay scallops in the middle. Really fresh and good, under 200 baht (!). Dang, I am homesick already.
Makes ny mouth water, in Hawaii they have comparable sushi bars to cater to the Jap tourists at 1/2 the Tokyo fare. I can live on that food.

A friend has got a farm so we all went camping last night, it's a lovely spot out in Wiltshire and so it's peaceful.

We had two skips full of wood for the fire, well done men!

And a good time was had by all until the early hours of the morning.

    Summertime..

I wish the camper was mine, but none of us had to rough it.. inflatable matresses, copious amounts of alchohol and a few herbal ciggies meant we all had a very comfortable sleep.

We didn't roast any cows, but we did flame grill a few horses that were in the next field.

Looks like a nice place to have been brought up. Bet the garden will be nice once weather gets warmer. The pond is nice, less grass to cut.

Gettysburg was the Civil War. This is a town near me in Connecticut. I would like to get back out to Gettysburg. Haven't been there in over 20 years.

I understand Gburg was CW not the Revolutionary War but the pic looked so much like Little Round Top that I had to ask the question. Was down at Gburg last in Oct 2009 for daughter's wedding that I hosted. Stateside home just East of the War College a few miles. Gburg is a wonderful place to visit in the fall season with the leaves in full color and the vast open spaces and meandering battlefield roads. It's great for Motorcycle and/or peddle bikes.

No need for that kind of language in a family-oriented thread . . .

I have always thought about taking a motorcycle out in the fall, but I would be so busy looking for shots that I would run off the road. I went to college about an hour or so east of Gettysburg.
