    Actually ... NO

I stayed off the electoral roll for sometime and, it's from that they pick their Jurors.

But been voting for a couple of decades now and never been selected.

They must secretly know that I'm a TD member

    You been called up?

I served for 10 weeks on a gangland murder trial.
Hotel + nearly £100 a day in expenses claimed.
Over 15 years ago now, was sorry when it ended.
Cushy number and a great insight into the legal system.
The defendants were behind bullet proof glass and armed police were on the entrance, heavy shit.
Feel for jurors with heavy work and family commitments as you've got not choice in the matter, for me at the time it was cushty.

Nope, but been serviced by one in Downing Centre district.

Good to know Dave wasn't one of them, might have had to come after him.

You do have a choice. I've been called up twice and both times, although curious about the process and interested in doing my civic duty, it was far too inconvenient so I wrote in. I simply said that because of an unfortunate experience with the police, I fear I may be biased and side with the defendant. Of course they didn't want me.

I do wonder if I'd said it the other way around, that I'd had an unfortunate experience with a criminal and I fear I'd be biased and side with the prosecution, whether ot not they would have excused me (as they should).

Think of the work involved for the architect back then without CAD etc. Amazing. (Then there's Gaudi: beyond words as far as designs without computers.)

Roughly two thirds of the people called up for jury service in the UK get out of doing it.

We are staying at our summer retreat in Blighty people keep moaning it's bloody hot at the moment but for us no problem.
Mind you at a farm near by the farmer was feeling a bit chilled so decided to set a field on fire to warm things up reackons a spark from a flint set the fields ablaze Really is tinder dry in most parts of Blighty at the moment. Post a photo a week, of anything/anywhere-sei_23003582-1d23-jpg

Our neighbours two kittens, who spend 95% of their day in our garden, so spent a while with them whilst they reclined on one of our outside tables. Great evening, full moon and quite still, and pleasant to sit amongst the trees and plants around the front of the house.

A nice bit of kit. Will a generator be connected to the turbine?
