Actually Ootai, I monitor this for a few reasons, the primary one being to stay active and healthy and moreover med free. I know some day it all catches us but staying active, eating right, live a low stress life will hopefully prolong slipping into a med regiment every morning or night. Of course the other bonus is I can drink 3 or 4 beers a day while working and gain no weight, in fact conversely I have lost about 3kgs in last 3 weeks
Also on steps keep in mind. The sensor tracks GPS location and even if I have my watch set to monitor walking it only shows when a moving at rate of speed. When it doesn't, it auto pauses. Example is. If I am vacuuming the pool one typically takes little side steps and while it shows as a step, the distance doesn't correlate leading to a steps/distance being small. Has nothing to do with me being a midget or you a Gargantuan..
I just stopped for lunch, already at 10, 697 steps and 177 minutes active time. I have a few more things I want to do after lunch. Will probably finish with about 15 to 16k steps or so plus a few laps in the pool.
