...I'm out at 5:30 every morning for an hour's exercise: usually 6500-7000 steps on the condo's jogging track...that and a (mostly) Mediterranean diet keeps me in fairly good health (so far)...a little less JWB and I'd probably be an Olympian...
According to Garmin I average 8968 steps per day, but that includes the days when I cycle, and when I walk 7+km in the morning. On walking days it is usually around 13000 steps, cycling days around 7-8000. My garmin watch sets a dynamic target...if I make a days target the number goes up for the next day, and reduces if I don't. Just looked and I've only done 2557 out of todays target of 8890 so tomorrows will go down (but I did do a 55km bike ride this morning!)
^ so if you want to hang one on with out a steps guilt trip you need to take your garmin off for a week before going on the lash
My day winds down. Sitting with my wife and the dogs discussing tomorrow plans.
^That is some good stepping, Stumpy. Many people are kicking butt on this thread!
I average 6-7000 steps , but that is just at work. I also go to the gym four times a week in the evenings and do an hour of either hot yoga, swimming laps, or a weight class.
I don't look at my steps during the class, but I burn about 300-400 calories in each of those workouts. My steps are higher on the weekend as I normally go for a 5-10 km hike on the weekends. I use a garmin vivoactive, which I use everyday to check my basal metabolic rate, heart rate, etc.
Cool! I have a garmin as well, and I like that the steps calibrate depending how many you've done before. If I do a high step day, my goal is higher the next day. 55 km bike ride, that is awesome! I am on a low calorie-ish diet, and was told not to overdo it, but I think I am going to start jogging/running soon as I just feel like it. lol
Whereas my answer would have been jwb? Oh dear.
