It was new times and I remember thinking, 'this ain't good'.

Metal cutlery soon came back for business class customers, but not for us lowly economy class seamen. I never really understood that, because surely a terrorist intent on getting his hands on a metal butter knife would just book business... if on a one way trip to Mecca, would he really be bothered about the extra expense? Stick it on a credit card and he wouldn't be paying, anyway.

Since 2001 it's been a nightmare of random metal and plastic airline cutlery offerings and I sometimes wonder how I've kept my hobby going.
All those acquired spoons will soon be collectors items mendy..put them in your will and leave em to the Mrs should you conk out.

It's the flight experience and memory that goes with the spoon/cutlery I reckon.

Well that's my experience of collecting vinyl.

Danish school kids have found 5 new species of the Tardigrade. Yeah!

Tardigrades are among the most resilient animals known, with individual species able to survive extreme conditions – such as exposure to extreme temperatures, extreme pressures (both high and low), air deprivation, radiation, dehydration, and starvation – that would quickly kill most other known forms of life.

Tardigrades have survived exposure to outer space
There are about 1,300 known species[in the phylum Tardigrada, a part of the superphylum Ecdysozoa consisting of animals that grow by ecdysis such as arthropods and nematodes.

With a big truck suspension coil you could set up a really cool boxing glove prank for the missus to open.

She's got a sense of humour and the ceilings are at least 2.8 meters right.

Jimmy Carr and a Mars selection box that's about the size of a cooker.

Wouldn't you be better off in Norwich?

You could maybe watch the whole of the guitarist's band.

Saw him in Impact back in 2011. I'd go with the review, they (Slash's Snakepit was perhaps their name) are the best Guns n Roses cover band in the world.

Was pretty much like watching GnR live back in the late 80s.

Which is a compliment. They had it down pat.

He must be getting on a bit nowadays mind.

I was invited to Jimmy Carr but I can't make it. Seen him before and laughed my ass off.

As for Slash, you could probably just wait til GnR come around again.

Rod Stewart is playing Impact in March too but I don't wanna talk about it.

You know, Amie Bell was just 16 in that video.

^ Many years ago when I lived in Perth, Stevie Nicks came to play at the WACA which is just down the road from our apartment.

I didn't need to go... I just sat on the balcony with a gin and tonic and could hear the entire concert. Saved me a few quid as well.

Made my run up to the Nonthaburi social security office. Once a year in October you have to show up to prove you are alive to continue to collect your money. Was a month late so will get a triple check on Dec 25th. Nice day. So much friendlier than immigration. No uniforms and no attitude, got a free wall calendar out of the trip.
