Life is good.![]()
Visited A & E for the first time in years and was filled with dread about waiting times.
In, X-rayed and out in under 90 minutes, all good and fantastic service from our NHS professionals and a very nice matron.
The cherry on the cake was getting two last minute Champions League tickets for tonight for City v Leipzig at face value.
I guess basket case Brexit Britain and Tuesday night ECL football isn't for everyone![]()

Previous one 11 months out of date.
'Watched' the videos online a few days ago, or had them playing on another computer at least. 4 multiple-choice questions that a 3 year old could answer. Done.
Down to the DOLT this morning, number 40, in and out in 30 minutes with a new 5 year license and the Line of the bird sitting next to me. 255baht. The license, not the bird's Line.

1 month vacation just started
Nice.
What are your plans?
While not pushing, I do plant some seeds that the career of a properly qualified Int. School teacher may be a good path to follow once the kid has her first degree and has spent a few years traveling around the world. What is it, a nice enough salary with 3 months fully paid vacation while based in Asia?
Worse work/relax+refresh ratio jobs out there.
^ Can you adopt my daughter for a few years please?
I arrived home on Saturday to a freezer void of frozen peas but with six bags of frozen sprouts.
Yeah, they're green and round, but completely fukking different. Rather than trying a different establishment to Makro over the past few weeks, each visit during the pea drought just resulted in the wife buying another bag of sprouts.
Anyway, a visit to Central Plaza today to deliver the daughter to her bass guitar lesson enabled a trip down to Tops on the ground floor.
It's bladdy amazing what a small bit of effort turns up!
I'm well acquainted wit Talley's Peas, my usual tipple from Makro, although I think we get 1kg bags there. I'm not sure that I'm familiar with the other two... I didn't risk the 'Guisantes' as they sound far too French, but along with the Talley's, I did also pick up a bag of McCains. If their peas are as good as their oven chips then some good meals could be had over the next few days.
McCain's are good. Talley's are better.
^ I would have to say that imho (of course) Talley's peas have everything I want in a pea and would take some beating, similar to Bird's Eye peas in the UK.
In saying that, I'm open to new experiences and will give McCain's a fair chance. I'm quite looking forward to it, to be honest.
You have to make your own fun in Korat, after all.
^ I'm on it!
I reckon they should hold on the hook, as well.

^ I used to love watching Sykes, that brought back some memories.
Anyway, guess what turned up in the post today...?
All the way from the deepest, darkest depths of Isaan, an EVA Air teaspoon courtesy of Shutree, who has just gone on to my Christmas card list!
Whenever I have a bad day in this awful place I like to think of Shutree, because Korat is positively cosmopolitan compared to Nong Bua Nowhere, or wherever it is he lives!
Thank you Shutree!
