Two year olds have very small bladders , which causes them to fill up quickly and due to the limited space , they are unable to hold it in for any length of time , the fact that he indicates when he needs a lash is proof that he is indeed toilet trained .
Had I not squeezed his stomach in or had the toilet been a bit closer, we may have possibly made it to the toilet

All my children used nappies, followed by training pants. These are designed for trips out, in order to prevent the exact type of accident you describe in the op.
By denying the lad training pant because of cost, or because you can’t plan ahead, you caused an appalling level of chaos and subjected shoppers and the child to discomfort, distress and embarrassment.

You are over reacting and exaggerating , there was no discomfort or distress or embarrassment , we found found it to be hilarious actually .
It was a one -off accident , fair enough, maybe you thought that keeping your kids in diapers for an extra year , avoiding having to take him to a toilet when he needs to go , getting him used to pissing his pants , would be better than getting out of using diapers as quick as possible , yes it would have been much easier just to keep him in diapers , but I put his comfort before my desire for an easy life .
A one off accident with no harm done verses a extra year of wearing diapers .
