    "Favourite?"

You mean you have more than one technique?

    What a show-off!

After much deliberation I have finally replaced my bean-to-coffee machine with one my wife wanted, the De'Longhi Citiz Milk Nespresso. TBH, I wasn't that keen on a capsule machine but Mrs Troy was getting fed up of clearing up coffee grains after I'd left for work in the mornings. She'd seen these often enough in hotels, albeit not the milk version.

I was swung round by the fact you can now buy Illy and Lavazza coffee capsules that are made for Nepresso Original machines.

It actually made a pretty decent cup of coffee and Mrs Troy enjoyed her Cappuccino.

^ Nespresso machines are fine, imho. A decent enough, very easy to make cup of coffee. There are some nice capsules too.

The problem is these capsules only contain 6g of coffee I think it was when I checked

I put 18 grams of coffee in the basket for my morning electric shock.

I used to use 3 of Miss Lusty Luzon's capsules for a coffee, which felt like conspicuous capsule consumption

1 Kg of coffee beans costs about $15-20

How much does 1000/6 = 166.666667 capsules cost?

^ Convenience for me, but here's a quick calc for you using a comparison between the machines I use.
Moka pot, 3 cup pot, I use 500g coffee every 2 weeks at 5.50 euros per time. Good coffee but I end up drinking too much each go. That's 11 euros a month.
My bean-to-coffee machine was great and it cost around 16-20 euros a month for 1kg beans. My preference but initial outlay is high and requires weekly maintenance.
New machine is around 15 euros a month for same standard coffee. That's allowing for a couple at weekends for the wife. Less coffee but it's a long espresso a day for me before I go to work and it's ready quickly.
So not a lot in it when considering for one person.

Finished final negotiations with dealer today.

Will drive down to BKK to pick up early next week. Then head off on a few mountain runs to break it in.

You won't get one of these for 690 Baht once Bristol City break into the Premier League. I've never seen them on Lazada before, so couldn't resist.

I'm not really a footy top-wearing kind of guy, but maybe I can get the missus to wear it at Christmas to spice things up a bit... if you know what I mean.

^ The wife in a snide footy top...the dogs strutting about in crotchless lingerie...

Are you sure you have your priorities right this Winter?

^ I don't have any priorities these days mate, only unfulfilled dreams.

I am under no illusion that this Christmas will be just like the last... me in my special 'kiss under the mistletoe' boxers and Anna wearing her Santa's little helpers outfit. The wife will be watching telly.

Still, you've gotta keep these traditions going!

When you are role playing don't foul her in the box or you'll incur a penalty.
