We have a Buzz Lightyear action figure at home.



That grey button in the centre of his back is very sensitive and the lightest of touches will deploy his jet pack wings. If he had in fact accidentally slipped up your back passage, I think it very likely that the wings would deploy, thus wedging him firmly in place. The news story even says that Buzz's wings were deployed inside the patient.

At 180 degrees horizontal too, so it wouldn't even matter if he went to infinite and beyond head first or breach.
