    It is retail insanity...!!

They are slashing prices on everything....!!

Got myself a blow up boat for $8.50

That is $991.50 less than I paid for my inflatable canoe 15 years ago.

Thankyou China for the RRP reduction magic of COVID-19 !!

All I need now is a blow up woman to put in it and take out on the lake for a picnic.

After spending a couple of hours last weekend squeezing limes to make lime ice cubes I decided to get a bit more serious. We were using a little hand-held squeezer but I want to speed things up and increase the yield... so had a look on Lazada...

This arrived today... A Super Aluminium "Super Fruit Juicer!"

This, and I quote... "is particularly recommended not only for household use but for bars, restaurants, nursing homes, institutions, etc..."

Can't wait for the weekend to try it out with the littl'un. I reckon I could squeeze one of the wife's pomelos with this thing!

Blimey that could be quite painful, but I guess it's ok if consensual.

^^^, ^^ I'm sensing some innuendo has been inferred from my innocent remark.

Just to set the record straight... (and my daughter will be most upset I didn't wait for her to try this thing out)

    My wife's pomelo tree...

Including a fine pair of pomelos hanging loose at the front...

In one goes to the 'Super Fruit Juicer'...

    And voila... it works!

To be honest it was a lot of squeezing for such a low yield of juice.

All I can deduce is that either the 'Super Fruit Juicer' ain't quite as 'Super' as they claim, or the wife's pomelos ain't as juicy as they look!

Aye, pomelos don't contain much juice.

Yam Som 'O' can be tasty though.

I love a bit of pomelo, however the ones down on our land in Nakon Nowhere are somewhat larger and sweeter - just sayin...

I've got some money burning a hole in me wallet, bought a new amp for decent money and am now thinking about a nice pair of good headphones.

    Any ideas?

    Dilly?

(No Snubby, I won';t be buying Chinese crap...).

Ah, here is another buy, I got it from America on eBay:

A guitar effects pedal that basically copies 300 of the best pedals available - and it sounds just like them, I A-B it against a couple of pedals I had and it was exactly the same (for a fraction of the price); of course, I broke it after about a week... Thought I'd try one more.

I specifically don't buy stuff from China or HK now because I simply don't trust the bastards; I bought an iPhone 8 for me dad's Xmas present from HK, turned out to be a Chinese 'company' and the phone never arrived, f'kin scammers. Paypal were golden and gave me the money back very quickly.

So, I specifically ignored all the Chinese adds and bought the pedal from a US company. Here is the shipping info:

BTW, eBay seems to have stopped shipping to Korea in the last few days, so I won't be spending much on there...

Looks good. And not that expensive on Lazada. Bit I'd worry about looking like a twat in Bang Na.

That is easy to solve. Just get a Kick-Ass suit to go with it.

Nobody knows it is me scooting around the neighborhood incognito!

So last weekend I was browsing YouTube outdoor cooking videos and came across a handful of videos showing Blackstone griddles. I liked the idea of having a flattop gas griddle but figured that buying one the States and shipping it over here and then paying the customs would make it a bit to expensive. On Sunday I googled “Blacktone Griddle Thailand” and to my surprise saw that a company in Pattaya had two in stock. Monday morning I called them up to confirm that they had them in stock which they did and confirmed with them I would pick it up later that day.

Assembled it that night, seasoned on Tuesday and have been cooking on it every day since. Pretty happy with it.

I took the scooter out in public along the beach today to see if I felt like a dick with a bigger crowd looking on.

    Show us your impulse buy-img_20200228_194745-jpg

The strange thing is that even though I think other people look like dicks on these things when I go on mine I feel like a kick-ass ninja!!

Of course that cognitive dissonance may be because of the possibility that I really am a dick.

    Show us your impulse buy-img_20200228_194245-jpg

It has an eco-mode which extends the range and actually I prefer it in eco-mode. In regular mode it goes at 25kph and pedestrians are jumping out of your way in surprise. But in eco mode it trundles along at a leisurely 18kph which is more like a leisurely cycling pace.

And the general publics are more chilled.

If however there is superhero emergency and my super-scooter-powers are required I can just flick it into regular mode and be at the scene of the emergency in a flash!!
