SpaceX got the permission from the FAA to increase the annual launch rate to 25 launches and landings. Landings to be for the booster and the ship in the near future. So 2 landings for each launch, if things go well. Some requirements to meet, like retention ponds for the cooling water. SpaceX may want to increase the number of flights per year to 100, we will see.
The permit includes building an air separation unit to produce oxygen and nitrogen. Likely there will be Argon for welding as a byproduct. SpaceX needs a huge amount of liquid oxygen (LOX) and also a huge amount of liquid nitrogen. Having their own air separation unit on site will reduce number of tanker trucks coming in. Only methane will need to be trucked in. Fewer tanker trucks for 25 flights than presently for 5 flights a year.
The local water utility is contemplating building a pipeline for the needed water. This is not yet decided. A pipeline for methane would also be helpful but will run into problems getting permission to build in the nature reserve around Boca Chica.
