You save half packs of chips in the fridge to eat later? Stretching that pension?

You don't have to live in the tropics to be a weird thrifty socially awkward kunto stretching out the use by date on eggs, apples, frozen kids and their crisps.

No, I’m not. I’ve never put a half bag of crisps in the fridge. Eat them or throw them. It’s not a living in the tropics thing. What do they cost? 24 baht each for packet of two?

OK, maybe you're genuinely missing the point.

Which is why someone would do it, not whether you or I would do it.

Do your daughters leave uneaten food anywhere around the house other than the fridge?

    They don't do they.

But you actually want to have a 'wealth pissing contest'.

    Over packs of chips.

If he puts uneaten crisps in the fridge, what does he do with leftover chips?

Ah shure tiz all kicking off.

    .... Tiz all kicking off.

I wouldn't have posted at all at all if I thought there would be a right ol' load of poop partying.

A pre-sip-sup evening mountain bike stretch of ze legs after a monster sesh in the arvo.

An hour a day keeps the 6 pack hard as clay.

Off around to the stream and deserted houses/teenage drinking/homeless living spots.

Usually get a good kick about with the local kids, but alas, me new Olmo-turn will need to wait a day or two before it's glorious debut.

Can't complain, really, having a football pitch with Doi Suthep as the main stand. We'd beat Man United.

You don't need football to have fu.... yes, yes you do.

Back to the balcony just before the entirety of this sky was dumped directly onto me new roof.

    Time for a lay down.

Guess what Eddo will be having after another few cans.....

    Hint:

    1. Toasted croissant with Canadian bacon and crappy plastic cheese. Followed by the kid's 7-11 *cough* 'Lasange'. Followed, at some point in the near future, by blaming the cleaner for eating it.

Nearly time to open up the round tin of butter cookies that were in a dusty cupboard when I bought the place a few months ago, then stuck in the fridge, without the help of the kid.

Gonna be fookin' gutted if it's a sewing kit.

I keep a lot of stuff in the fridge back home that I wouldn't normally... including opened packets of crisps, nuts, sweets in general, etc etc, purely to keep the ants off.

Something else that will go in the fridge once home... my mum has put me on to this shop called M & B, they sell packs of 15 Babybels for £3.70, compared to 260 THB (5 quid!!!) for packs of 5 in Lotus in Korat. Ten packs will be heading eastwards soon.

Also, 75p for a jar of pickled cockles... these will definitely go in the fridge!

And whilst at M & B I picked up a 4-pack of Stella. I just had to at these prices.

My first tin was drunk while admiring this kink band formed in extremely deformed metamorphic rock that I collected in the Pyrenees 36 years ago, when doing the mapping project for my geology degree. I'm considering taking it back home to Korat but have to consider losing out on the 1.5kg of strong cheddar that it will replace.

My second Stella was drunk while admiring this Carboniferous fossil brachiopod that I collected today from Crook Peak at the western end of the Mendip Hills, over 200 metres above the sea level at Weston-Super-Mare. This will definitely be coming home, despite the loss of cheese.

The brachiopod had lain here for the past 320 million years, give or take. Glastonbury Tor is on the horizon to the right.

I patiently explained to the daughter that this discovery proves that the top of the Mendips actually formed the seabed beneath a shallow, tropical sea 320 million years ago, but I may as well have saved my lecture for Yogi once I get home, for all the interest she showed.

Not at you specifically Mendo but you guys must know they make those plastic containers with seal lids that you can keep things fresh outside your fridge and ants out? Crisps, nuts, etc put in the fridge must taste awful and no longer be "crispy" anymore.

I use those plastic lid seals boxes for chips and jars for cashews, walnuts and peanuts etc and have them at my pool bar. No ants and always fresh. They are available on Lazada
