One day drinking warm English bitter from a premium Thai lager beer glass, two days later drinking premium Thai lager beer from a warm Butcombe glass. An international drinking experience!

I sometimes wondered whether drinking alone in my mum's kitchen was good for my 'mental health' as they now call it, so it's good to be back home to have a sociable drink with my mates.

Lola and I admired new tackle over a Leo and Hong Thong.



But not the priest... I found that in my mum's loft with my ancient fly tying equipment. I made that priest around 42 years ago on a lathe in metalwork at Churchill Comprehensive. It has brought about the demise of many a fine trout over the years and may now be employed on my pla nin in Korat.

Maya was quite impressed as well. No 'nut sacks' on view there for our American friends!



And of course Yogi is never far away from a party.

But it's not all beer and skittles... due to a job suddenly falling through it looks like I'll be leaving for Norway at the weekend after only a few days at home, so have to remain complus mentos for a couple more hours to sort this all out. I abandoned the fishing for a change of venue, and a chance to admire this year's fossil haul... Carboniferous right through to the Jurassic. Not bad at all!
