A lovely 7:30am espresso, served with a giggle at having Stump explain why he's counting my repo.

Maybe Eddie should use an older nic? Maybe one that wasn’t jailed or banned?

Sure did buddy. Posted me repo in the repo thread.

Funny to see lil perennially challenged Stumpy go into I've got more than you! mode. Literally saying 'I've got more than you.'.

Hey, I'm at a loose end, why not play a tune and get him dancing, as an American he wouldn't even realize. Got him doing arithmetic, and then explaining why, while he's on a family holiday.

Back to the topic, a lovely refreshing tumbler of chilled urea, chloride, sodium, potassium, creatinine, other dissolved ions, with inorganic and organic compounds.

Wife and I spent the last few days cruising around the wine country over to Petaluma, Santa Rosa.

Its been hot. stopped at this little watering hole and had me a nice Drakes Amber Ale while wife waited for some fish and Chips to go.

Later spent a few hours at a local casino.

Wife headed off to the slots.....

I headed to the bar to enjoy a cocktail and play some video poker as a warm up before I joined in at the craps table.

Had a long roller shortly after I joined, walked away with a little over $ 600.

As much s I like cider it's nice to be back drinking beer as I think there is so much more variety.

I tried a Totty Pot tonight.

Very nice but a bit heavy. I didn't taste any roasted coffee or chocolate but I'm sure it was there.

    Something a bit lighter... a Goat's Leap.

The head was reminiscent of the scum you get at high tide along Weston-Super-Mare beach but no mention of that.

You’d be having words with whoever poured that beer!

The head on that looks like you poured it straight out like you would a coke or something. HAHAHA.

The IPA looks interesting in the description Mendy. How was it? I am not a harsh hop type IPA drinker where you feel like you have to wash your mouth out after every sip. Over here, our IPA's are hazy and usually brewed using citrus based type hops.

Words with myself, although it wouldn't be the firt time.

Stumps, I enjoyed the IPA and its says 'Citrus Hops' on the label although my palette isn't refined enough to detect that.

I found it at the back of my mum's larder, it was warm, a year out of sell by date and I just poured without finesse. It was still OK though.

I think Mendip, being educated in science, pours the beers that way to avoid later on farting like a cart horse. Right, Mendip?

A very short video explains the science.

Yes, of course HNZ, that is exactly right.

Although I must admit that after sharing a bed last night after a curry and skinful of beer, the daughter was looking a bit dazed today.

I missed that. I thought he found it and at least chilled it properly.... What a savage. Scarier was he found it to be Ok warm and 1 year out of date. The Ya Dong and Goat Piss has really ruined ol Mendy's palate.

If Mendy comes my way, I will pick up a bottle of 100 Pipers and put it in a 15 year aged bottle. He will never know.

To be fair, warm IPA is marginally less awful than a warm lager. But it’s not good and a terrible waste considering most IPAs are double the price.

No need to decant that 100 pipers, Mendy already thinks it’s posh compared to his usual drinks.

Years ago I was in Livingston Scotland for a product transfer, a few of the engineers took Mr to a local pub. First round was some room temp Lager. I damn near puked. I switched to Scotch and all was good.

    Lightweight!

The best way to savour ale is at room temperature!
