^^^^^That is a thrifty shallow nip Willy. You will get good mileage out of that bottle at that rate.

2nd Spanish lesson from my Chilean tutor. This time with bubbles, bratwurst and brie, after our inaugural craft cerveza a couple of months back

At this rate of progress fluency may not be reached for some time, but anyway, they say that life is about the journey...

Standard double. For some reason they tend to be much less than my home pours. I’m not sure why. I think that shot was after my first taste of it.

Life is about getting your end away mate, the journey is painful.

Nothing new here, but what a lovely composition. The late afternoon beer.

^^I never noticed that Yogi has got winter camouflage markings before.

Or the size of his radar ears.

He is some kind of weird winter-combat patrol-hound that somehow ended up with an Isaan posting

Those ears look very 'German Shepherd'.

Perhaps that explains the liking for coffee tables?

Anyone up for the 21 Cocktail Challenge?

    28 June 2023
A British man on holiday with his family in Jamaica died after attempting to partake in a challenge that involved drinking all 21 cocktails featured on a bar’s menu. Timothy Southern, 53, from Staffordshire in England’s West Midlands, had finished 12 of the menu’s various cocktails when he returned to his hotel room at the Royal Decameron Club Caribbean in Saint Ann, where he later died.
The family has since expressed outrage and dissatisfaction with the emergency crews who tried to save him in his hotel, claiming they were unprepared to effectively take care of him.

^ Good Lord. The alcohol didn't kill him, he died of immediate onset of diabetes from all the sugar in those FooFoo drinks.

    ^^ amateur, only managed 12/21.
Do like that his family blame emergency services, no responsibility for his own stupidity, has to be someone else's fault.

Work for work, finished. Yard work done and plants watered... done! Time for an ice cold IPA as I enjoy this fine hot and humid weather.

At a mates place. He kept serving G&Ts for me with lime (instead of lemon), I didn’t have the heart to tell him.

Today was....well....a interestingly funny day. I got my sprinklers all set up and the guys who were to install the timer system and solenoids came.

So lets just say this. So in the US I am used to a compact system and quickly programmed. These guys showed up with a panel system that looked like I have missle silos on my property and I have the Defon 5 key.

While what they built is quite well thought out, I think it is say.....20 years old school. Now in fairness they do have it where they have to activate a pump and solenoids versus a straight HP city system.

    High Tech....Thai style.

I got all my lawns mowed and then went up stairs and poured me a Vodka, Cranberry and Calanes cocktail and pulled up a stool at the pool bar.

Time is counting down until I catch a big bird to the wine country for my Mom's service.

^ Same same... but not on the girl's drink front. No umbrella?

I fly out Monday... and not to some far flung province. I'm off to Somerset!

Mendy, Lets just say this, One of my "Girls" drinks as you call them would have you spinning after one. Ya dong and Leo are children's play.

But even after the high tech sprinkler set up, I can leave and all is good and no issues that I am paying for a gardener to sit and wait for my return....

Yeah I know... this has crept up on me and I'm not well prepared.

It's already going a bit pear-shaped... I seem to be getting roped into a lot of family duties, hospital taxiing etc etc. Have to do it all of course but I could really do with a break. The first week is down on the south coast just with Jess and I am very much looking forward to that!

As your passport seemingly isn't valid for travel ooop norf for a pint with me and Chitty, you should bring Jess to Birmingham at the start of August for a piss up (hey Dil!).

    I'll buy her a coke.

I am just curious, has your dad expressed interest in moving in with you? I think that would be the best option for him, and I hope you have the granddaughters in his ear.

I'm going to get some beef shin or short ribs for a beef bourguignon and I'm gonna have a pint of Guinness on the way and another on the way back.

What beer I should pick up to sup while I'm cooking is a question that will be answered at the supermarket.
