England are already 2 down and the run rate is climbing, already at 7.05.

    And that's in a powerplay.

    Australia won by 88 runs

Well done Clarke for getting a century.

Mitch Johnson was getting some serious pace.

Marsh's career has been frustrating to watch. Get's big runs outside the international side, and everytime he gets called back he fails miserably..

I see I am the only one applauding clarkes ton here. A bit like at the match yesterday. Besides the Australian dressing room only a couple of English players and a handful of the crowd congratulated him.

What has happened to English sportsmanship ?

Didn't you know that a Clarke century against an England B-team only merits a perfunctory "harrumph" and a gentle slap on the thigh?

    Stop whinging.

^ England B-team?? - It's the team the selectors think is best for England. Our team is different too. C'mon Harry - if you are a true cricket fan, you should know a century deserves to be congratulated.

In other news, Mitchel Starc has been diagnosed with a lower back fracture, as has teenaged pace bowler, Cummins . With Pattinson and Harris injured too (Pattinson is almost fit) we have lost most of our quicks AGAIN through injury.

We no doubt have an excellent selection of quick bowlers, but they are forever breaking down! . This has become a real problem for Australian bowlers.

Siddle (who turned vegetarian a year or so ago to help him stay fit) is the only one that doesn't break down.

If our best quicks are no starters for the 1st ashes test, then we may see Mitch Johnson back in the test team .... who is just too hot and cold for test cricket (Though a very good ODI bowler). Perth is the only place he would be considered to play if all of our pace bowlers were fit.

I think I have been particualrly clear about what I think of one day cricket.

No interest whatsoever, I cannot tell you how many games have been played or who is winning them.

Just not interested but well done Micky if that makes WDR feel better.

    Cheers Bob.

Test cricket is my favourite format by far, but an international century between Eng v Aus deserves respect in any format. They are international runs and will go down in the history books.

I liked England a lot more when they were useless. At least the players and fans had nice manners back then

Not a lover of the one day game looked like England lacked a bowling attack.

    Didn't they ever.

Yes Wally, congratulations to Clarkey on scoring a century against a bunch of rookies.

I'm sure he would prefer the one that won him the Ashes. Erm..... I mean won him a test match. Erm......

No, just well done mate, under the circumstances a tremendous feat.

Yes, Ocker. We will have our time again.

    But when? .....

Our bowling is fine now; but we are shamefully short of good batsmen.

Most of our current lot are a bunch of hacks.

    So typical.

England get skitteled by good bowling and "England batted poorly"

Australian batsmen do well and "England bowled poorly"

Why is it so difficult to comprehend that England put out a nondescript, inexperienced side and they performed badly with bat and ball?

    I think you're a bit thick Wally.

Your ODI side is no different from ours

Certain players are not suited for the format, and certain players are - that is how the team is picked

Banging on about not picking the right team, and refusing to acknowledge when you have been outplayed is just childish , ..... and, well , a bit thick of you Harry
