    Yes,

Fenech certainly has cemented his place as the best of all in my opinion, simply because of what you have said and once again because he was so hard.

Jesus, when he boxed on with a broken hand that was something fookin outer world.

But the 3 different weights is quite an amazing story huh.

Fenech has had quite a few run ins with the Law over the years, got done for theft one time and he was in the news again this week for something silly he done.

    Highly strung is Jeff.

Fenech punched way above his weight and his hands could just not stand up to it .

for the pub and club for sure. But how much to charge when you are guaranteeing 20 million bucks? 100 people watching on 10 screens is a lot less than 100 people paying 50 bucks plus each to watch this fight. Only in Oz...

Other than the top stars who can command these purses? Lots of top champs have never gotten near that money. Two 40 year olds who hate each other and are willing but come on, on guy one guy is coming up 20 plus pounds.

Give them 3 million each and they would be on top of the world...

Clash of the has beens generates record purse in Oz... Still cant see it. But would love to

You do know that Greens hands are fucked, there was a story on Perth Telli this year outlining his battle with arthritis and how after every session he is left in great Pain.

I mean, whats he gona be like fending off a mad as bat shit Mundine.

    ^^

Can't argue with that lot, the purse is bullshit and I cannot see who would ever put it up. ???

It's a massive wedge to recoup on this fight.

    Heh,

Next Wednesday night Green is fighting Kane Watts. He is 34 years old with a 18 Win 2 loss record. Greens 43.

Green has said that if loses this fight it may put a damper on the Mundine fight.

    Fookin understatement or what ???

I'd say if he loses this fight why the fook would ya want to pay to see Mundine really put him away. ?

He better beat this Watts guy or the promoters of the Mundine fight are going to be pissed off.

I don't know this Watts guy so I'm off to google him up.

    I'll report back.

    Nice one, Piwanoi...

Never used to watch much boxing on Thai TV as I felt the no-name flipo boxers were gifted/fed to the seasoned Thai fighters..

This one didn't follow the script - and no chance to go to the partisan judges...

Its really pathetic it really is ,in the past , you get Indonesians and Phili's fighting for the World title here in Thailand that are not rated in the top 100 in their divisions , often the elongated fight introductions last long than the actual fight .

Almost forgot Dick, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your man Parker is going to have to wait a wee bit longer for his shot at the title , Can't see Dimi going the distance as he appears to be a "shot fighter" here's the lowdown Dimitrenko: I am confident of defeating Parker | Boxing News | Fightnews

Yep. This region and the Indonesians in particular have a terrible record when it comes to the safety of their fighters.
I think the fighting cocks get treated better, tbh.

Glad you brought that to members attention , I have said it before and will say it over and over again the Thai's are not fight buffs , they go to see the Thai fighter knock 7 colours of shit out of the overmatched opponent ,rarely, like the other day the script was not followed .

Hey great boxing card on now. True 668, looks like 3 very good bouts, with Santa Cruz and Framton headlining.

Just Watched a class act in Mikey Garcia ,Rojas is not a bad fighter at all but just could not take Garcia 's firepower , here is Garcia's record and if you click on to Roja's you'll see his , not long now before the big one Frampton V Santa Cruz which should be a barn burner , sorry no predictions as my Crystal ball is fogged up with my hot fetid breath BoxRec - Mikey Garcia

Very impressed with Mikey Garcia, especially being that he has set out the last 2 years due to contractual problems. Rojas has heart but I am glad it was stopped.

    This one should be great.

Great !!, that was an understatement!! , for me Santa Cruz shaded the last 3 but Frampton did the early work surprisingly Santa Cruz decided to fight Framptons fight and kept it inside without taking advantage of his Reach advantage , for me both are a credit to the game inside and outside the ring ,the return will obviously be in Belfast with a well earned mega payday for both Warriors ,

Fantastic fight. Frampton hurt Santa Cruz early (2nd round) and made him tentative coming forwards, catching with some superb counter-punches, thus easily winning the first half of the fight.
Thought that Santa Cruz was the best fighter in the 2nd half though. Getting the better of a lot of the exchanges and slowing Frampton down with that barrage of punches that he's known for. The scorecards at the end were a bit of a surprise, tbh.
Fight of the Year contender, and probably a very lucrative rematch in the offing too.

Quite touching to see Barry McGuigan down on his knees at ringside praying waiting for the score cards to be read out eh

One judge had it way off, but it was a hell of a fight.

What kept coming to mind was Garcia got 1 million, Frampton not even. Great bout with two warriors. Packed house in Brooklyn NY. Rematch double or triple the money slanted to Frampton.

Now I will never believe that Oz can pull off two has beens for 10 million each. No way its gonna sell. Bravado by a promoter trying to drum up some cash. I do believe these make believe fights have happened in Oz before.

Yeah I along with Kmart was surprised at the score cards , but we've seen far worse decisions than that ain't we ? although I did think Frampton deserved the nod with his early work , I am almost certain that I heard one of the commentators say that Garcia's purse was 375,000 dollars , as for Framptons I'll try and find out
