^Yep, a cool 3 million. Cannot blame him (Brook) one iota for taking it immediately, as the marquee fights and paydays havn't fallen on his lap since he beat Shawn Porter for that version of the Welter strap. I will be rooting for him against GGG, but I fear he may get hurt in this fight. Golovkin damages good boxers at 160lbs, never mind blown up Welters.

Yeah Right his biggest ever pay day ,only for his old man to glue up the works , problem is a Golden opportunity like that might never come around again, I'll look into it but I seem to recall that Eubank Snr was almost bankrupt a few years ago .

    One of the best P4P's and my favourite current fighters; Terence Crawford is back in action this weekend against unbeaten Viktor Postol;

But this Saturday Crawford is set for what is expected to be the toughest test of his career. He'll be taking on fellow unbeaten titlist Viktor Postol in a 140lb title unification bout airing live on HBO PPV.
Terence Crawford: My Fight - Full Episode - Bad Left Hook

Looking forward to this. Crawford is a great boxer / fighter, but Postol is awkward, and a dangerous guy as well.

No doubt about it Crawfords an outstanding fighter , for me its a toss up between him and Roman Gonzalez for the P4P throne , Postal's main claim to fame was beating Matthysse Who IMHO a slightly shot fighter at that level after many tearups and a credit to the game ,for me Crawford will have just too much ring savvy although Postal will make it interesting , I take Crawford to win by stoppage in the late rounds .

^Postol has an awkward and dirty style of boxing, all long arms, elbows and clinches. But he has power and good timing when he chooses to engage. -As you rightly pointed out stopping a jaded, disinterested-looking Lucas Matthysse was his career highlight to date, but has the style and power to trouble Crawford, maybe?
Crawford is a tall guy as well, so maybe negating Postol's advantages, getting to him mid-rounds and maybe stopping him soon after. Looking forward to this one.

When you look at their records it would suggest that Crawford has been mixing it with far better company and with a KO record of 71% in comparison to Postal's 43% it would suggest that Crawford carry's far more firepower , his stoppage win of the young Cuban kid Gamboa who I thought was going to go all the way was spectacular in every sense of the word ,Postal is you rightly is awkward to say the least and he's going to try to take the more slicker boxer out of his comfort zone ,the ref could have a very busy night indeed !! here is Postal's record , if you click on to Crawford's you'll see his too BoxRec - Viktor Postol

Good preview of the fight here: HBO PPV boxing preview: Terence Crawford vs Viktor Postol - Bad Left Hook

But Viktor Postol is the No. 2 fighter in the world at 140 pounds. That’s pretty much unanimous. Crawford is No. 1. This is legitimately the two best in the world facing one another. It’s so rare that this actually happens in boxing that I keep feeling the need to stress that statement. It’s not promoter talk or fan boy hype. It’s the real deal. This is 1 versus 2 in this division.

Parker won via TKO round 4

Big right uppercut to the chin in the 4th round did the job!

Climbing the ladder boys, just as I predicted...

He's in with a fighter's chance... if he can tighten up his defense a bit - still has the fastest hands in the division and very good boxing skills...

All it takes is one punch ,whether JP can land it is the question either way with good financial advice he's set for life after the big one .

From the info I have been reading JP carry's his left hand perilously low , which is a weakness Joshua's connections will have noticed and will certainly take advantage of if they meet , of course with two big bangers anything can happen and I hardly think that the Judges will have any need to tot up their scorecards at the end of the fight .

Yeah, just did a quick youtube look-see at him. Lots of power and quick hands, but carries his head / chin up when he attacks. Him and Martin should be a great tear-up while it lasts.

Sergiy Derevyanchenko just knocked out Sam Soliman. You will be hearing his name more often.

^ I agree with you 2 guys, JP needs to tighten his lazy defense - improve his cardio before the Joshua fight in November.
If he can do that, he has a good shot at beating him. One thing, he does have a good chin on him.

Undoubtedly , there now seems to a hell of a lot of World Class fighters coming from the former USSR , the Middle weight division is of course ruled by the one and only GGG , and the kid will have to go some to emulate his record ,although time is on his hands , looking at his record he appears to carry a dig ,we;ll know just how good he is when the opposition is a bit better than "Grandad Soloman "but always nice to see a new kid on the block ,here's his record BoxRec - Sergiy Derevyanchenko

This may be only of interest to OZ boxing fans but it seems that the prize pillock,
motor mouth Mundine and Danny Green are fighting later this year.
figures are 10m for each boxer, weight at 83 kg,hope Green decks the dill.

Quite a lot of us fight buffs know both Fighters well enough ,I always did like Danny "The green machine" Green, as for Mundine I have never known a more hated boxer ever in Ozz , I believe its his political standpoint and not his boxing prowess in the ring that is the problem , although strangely enough it never Did Ali any harm did it?, even in Ozz
