I recently watched 'The Jinx - The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst'.

I had never heard of him but it was recommended by a friend and I went in blind without any research.

Best not say too much, but I do enjoy this kind of documentaries.

IMDB says 8.6/10 and I'm ok with that.

Don't know if its been mentioned before, but just finished "Shining Girls", an 8 episode offering from Apple starring the talented Elizabeth Moss. Story centres around a serial killer who passes between times to find his victims and their background. Paranormal stuff usually isn't my thing, but this is quite good with some strong performances.

Don't know if its been mentioned before, but just finished "Shining Girls", an 8 episode offering from Apple starring the talented Elizabeth Moss. Story centres around a serial killer who passes between times to find his victims and their background. Paranormal stuff usually isn't my thing, but this is quite good with some strong performances.

Takes a bit of following initially but I really enjoyed it. She directed some of it as well as exec producing - even Leo di Caprio chucked some money in.

Band of Brothers to hit Netflix today, and the Pacific some time soon. Binge watching time.

Just finished "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey", a six episode offering from Apple. Its been out for some time ago, so may have been recommended previously. Samuel L Jackson plays an old guy with dementia who obtains experimental medical treatment that restores his faculties and importantly due to a chequered past, his memory. Good casting and peformances, though slightly disappointed with the ending.

The Continental (TV, 2023) isn't bogged down with 90% gratuitous violence like the films from which this prequel stems.
Watchable 7/10.

As anything kitchen and food related has somethinig of a following on TD, this should go down well. "Boiling Point", a 4 episode offering from the BBC has just started airing, with the series following on from the film of the same name a couple of years ago featuring Sephen Graham. The series essentially has the same cast. I would recommend downloading the original film and watching before the series.

The original film was akin to an out of control rollercoaster getting steadily faster.

If you can ignore all the feeble trumpanzee/qanon/god botherer shite surrounding it, it's actually a pretty decent film marred only by either some bad editing or an improperly resolved script.

It's not the most cheerful subject matter, let's face it.

It's not been in the cinemas that long, but Denzel's third foray in the role appears to be already out in decent digital format.
