The ultimate moral test of any government is the way it treats three groups of its citizens. First, those in the dawn of life our children. Second, those in the shadows of life our needy, our sick, our handicapped. Third, those in the twilight of life our elderly.
Hubert Humphrey American VP 1965/9.
I have just finished a 10 part Israeli production for HBO Max
Valley of Fears
Drama following individuals in the 1973 Yom Kippur War
Decent watch 7/10
Ahem ! Try 'Valley of Tears' Cheers tho'.
Also harking back to the past - I watched this 'Say Nothing' - the Irish Troubles. Quite good and disturbing - about Gerry Adams being in the IRA (allegedly) !
Say Nothing (TV Mini Series 2024) - IMDb
The 5th series of Grace, starring John Simms is out
4 new 90 minute police dramas based on the books of Peter James.
Not the best TV detective out there imo but a decent watch nonetheless
Just finished White Lotus Season 3.
Mike White never fails.
The first season was shot in the middle of COVID, so obviously they got the Four Seasons in Maui pretty cheap.
Now the Four Seasons are tripping over themselves to offer their properties - which get a massive surge of bookings after every series release - and Thailand chipped in $4m+ in rebates to nick this off Japan.
If you enjoy the show, it's the best season yet.
He has great attention to detail as a director and writer, and slots everything together superbly.
9/10
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
I binged it yesterday.
The girl with the teeth cracked me up.
Went to see The Amateur at the flicker pictures.
Given the reviews, bit disappointing if truth be told.
5.5/10
G20 (Movie, 2025)
Described as "Die Hard meets Air Force One".
Amazon have it but I'm not sure if they made it or picked it up off a scared studio.
Dropped yesterday along with the latest Black Mirror.
Added: They must have picked it up off a scared studio, it's that fucking bad it's hilarious.
What idiot gave the green light to a story and script that terrible I don't know.

An oldie but goodie. I watched Donnie Brasco for the first time today. What a great flick it is. Al Pacino plays a Mafia hitman who is befriended by an FBI agent played by Johnny Depp. Based on true story.
Pulse (TV, 2025). Can only be described as Netflix's attempt at Grays Anatomy, so more drama and shagging than actual medical work.
Not a patch on The Pitt, which was superb, and thankfully has been renewed for Season 2.
The Bondsman (TV, 2025)
Kevin Bacon stars in something quite similar to the not-so-good episodes of Supernatural, but at least all 8/8 are up. 6/10
The Last of Us S02E01 dropped yesterday, that's going to be one a week.
Anyone watched "marching powder" yet?
I've heard it's a cross between Green Street/the football factory/ Cass/ Rise of the footsoldiers.
Which brings me to my next question..
Which is your favourite English football hooligan movie??
I.D.

I'm surprised how long it's taking for a stream or torrent for Marching Powder to turn up.
Yeah ID, one of the first and a classic.
Based on a true story.
I've got a feeling " Marching Powder " will be crap.
I agree but still have to watch it.
Green Street was the worst one I can think of.
Fuck off Frodo.
Havoc (Movie, 2025).
Tom Hardy stars in a barely comprehensible action movie that really is little more than just what it says on the tin.
5/10
Might skip.
I knew it was going to be bad but lord it exceeded all expectations.
Absolutely horrific.
Beyond awful.
The level of intelligence to write this then direct it speaks volumes.
Brain dead antiquated bilge.
It's a shame there isn't less that 1 star.
