Good ole Stumps/JP has some skills (common sense) sourcing food. Then again, he is not in the Philippines. My uncle lived there until recently (died of cancer) and he could not get some of the most basic western goods. Dairy for one.

Here, dairy isn't a problem but good veggies and Western cuts of meat are difficult to find.

Thanks Tops. I came across them a few years ago while working and living in BKK. I tried some and they were pretty good.

In general, I eat Thai food 90% of the time and I do not post up pics because most have eaten it. Tonight out with a few folks from work I ate at one my nice little Northern Thai food place. Food is always consistent.

So it looks more North East than North to me. Damn nice, I love the grilled port neck.

Just to show that I've still got it...

Lamb broth with peas and sprouts... a big batch lasts for about three days.

I'm still farting mid-afternoon the following day. Korat has never been such fun.

And banana custard with raspberry jam OR chocolate sprinkles. Not many restaurants offer that choice..

This week the Ja Dong came in a commemorative 'Regency' bottle... what else of course.

    Pure class.

Jelly jam's not really working, is it?

Lamb broth looks affa fine though.

I got some peas in my rice tonight, which was nice.

You gotta take control of the TV Mendip. Can't have you watching it in your laptop.

Didn't you say your knob was looking like that when you got back from Cambodia that time?
