Chequers has been going for about 25 years.

My go to is nam tok tab wan, won't appeal to all and you have to find a place that slices it thin.

I think I've had that... a place near us puts sliced liver in the larb moo.

^^^ yes. I tend to get a hankering for it in Thailand. Ii think because most of the time its chicken, pork or fish that i eat, i barely touch beef here outside the odd steak if the restaurant is good enough.

If you look out, across the soi from Fitzgeralds, there is one of the Hillary's slightly to the right, then a gate at the end of a driveway, and then Chequers slightly to the left.

I've never noticed it there before and have spent a few hours watching the street from Hanrahans/Fitzgeralds over the years.

Dinner the night before was a brace of kebabs from Soi 3, on the way home from the Plaza.

I'm not in BKK very often, then when I am there I usually stay at the Adelphi Suites on Soi 8, and usually frequent The Game.

My mate was staying at ALOFT by Marriot on Soi 11 so I checked in there. Cost me 2,050 baht and seemed pretty good for the price.

I have stayed at Adelphi Suites before. They messed up and gave me a keycard for the wrong room. When I walked in there was a lad naked on the floor with his legs up in the air doing bicycle kicks.

Awkward.

Probably started medium but continued cooking on the motorbike.

Hmm, have to be careful with the phrase "Check-in" in our family, its become used to mean paying a visit to a public toilet (usually a supermarket) facility for a number 2.

The game was a great place, Had that really lovely young waitress called Pim, later went to breakers.

I was at the opening night at Chequers and was a friend with the 4 guys who set the bar up.

I've only known Chequers to be at 1 location mate on Soi 4.
