^ looks alright; I'd be very happy with that.
But, I cooked (I use the term loosely), boiled some pasta, cooked a bit of chicken and ham to throw into a cheap readymade sauce (also added some pepper and mixed herbs) - we have a carbonara:

Cycling should be banned!!!
Nope, I fully agree with you - too much steak gets boring...
Yeah, it was last minute averageness with what was at the back of the cupboard - but, it tasted better than I expected.
Now, you should see the team I have for week 16!!! If I'd started the season with this 11 (and a couple of good benchers), I'd be thrashing you all; top of the league.
(The wine was so bad that I just poured it down the drain.)
Comments like that piss me off slightly...
Anyway,
In light of recent comments, I concentrated like buggery on presentation tonight.
Bangers, mash and beans...
I fried the sausages, mashed the spuds and microwaved the beans... what more can ya do?
And if that ain't good enough, a close up...
And being enjoyed to the max!
I like the way Heinz put the labels on their bottles upside down. Daddies don't seem to have sussed that one out yet.
Proper Beano sausages and mash. Love it.
MM dues home in 5 mins with a bottle o' vino.
Working with what was in the fridge.
My ol' grandmother would kill me.
Though to be fair I didn't bother brushing the baguette with olive oil before lightly toasting due to laziness/drunkeness.
^ Nice!
fine looking meal that
Outstanding Mendip!
Congratulations on achieving the correct consistency for the sausage to remain upright in the mashed potatoe.
Next time may I humbly suggest a volcano of gravy, I noticed you have two fine gravy jugs at your disposal.
Nothing provides greater delight than filling one's own volcano and then making it burst , all great fun for the kids and makes for interesting dinners.
We have that meal at least once every month.
Ivejust replenished the cupboards and am debating what to have tonight, decisions...
The baked beans beckoned!
Tried a Medallion Steak tonight with some frozen chips.
Think I prefered my earlier meal...
A medallion steak? So that's what they call a Tesco value burger these days.
Is the brown stuff HP or were you rationing the gravy?
Proper council house food that is, Chitty.
Only a little more than I'd be looking forward to an evening had I been invited for a meal Chez Chitty.
PS. Why have you put a Swedish flag on a Norwegian?
Mate, that also has to get an airing over on the Blokes Cookery Thread ... CLASSIC Nosh that!

^It would get hundreds if not thousands of interesting comments on ratemyplate!
I had a scoozi pizza. Could have done with a bit longer in the oven.
^ nice, that is.
But this, deserves yet more attention because it is food as art as food:
^Here's some more food art if you're into this sort of thing (no disrespect meant to Mendip!)
^ you and your Jackson Pollocks...
I actually feel a tad nauseous after viewing those plates
^Go to the ratemyplate website, I've got it bookmarked for times when a bit of a laugh is needed. The comments are comedy gold
