Stuck some oil in the tin, refrigerated the batter, whacked the oven up to 240 now just sitting back and waiting for half hour, although they do smell cooked from outside

I have no gravy, but this is just a trial run

now that's some prompt lunch, some rule about cracking the first before you've eaten lunch? I have a free pass today and fully intended to be 1/2 wankered by the time I get on De Plane, De Plane

Since I'm not aware of a dessert thread I'll post this upside down pineapple cake here. In a slight attempt at justifying this I did have it for dinner dessert. Deliberately went heavy and dry on the caramel crust that the pineapple sit in. Bit hard to see them but eight glace cherries hiding inside the pineapple rings as well. I don't do subtle up here. Flavour was strong with a slight crust protecting a warm moist cake. Went down a treat with vanilla ice cream.
