    Last night,

Slow cooked ribs that the meat was falling off the bone.

String beans sauted in butter and homemade Italian dressing

    Brown rice.

    Sorry, no pictures.

Tonight we're doing cabbage rolls slow cooked in marinara sauce. I'll try to remember to take a few photos.

About as Italian as you Nigel. I honestly meant to take pictures but I just couldn't wait after trying to pick up the sets of rack o' ribs without them falling apart.

I have to agree with Necron here. Italian must be about the most varied food there is.
If pasta and pizza is not for you you will find lots of inexpensive fresh meals in small restaurants everywhere - meats, fish, vegetables, grains , desserts. whatever you fancy
Just google a bit to see what there is.

I am pretty certain you will come back with a changed opinion

Yes Nigel. We need that to happen.

Yesterday I had spicy baked beans and meatballs. They were, how shall I put this, 'fucking disgusting?'

I still reckon the humble roast chicken takes a bit of beating for value .

Yesterday this little beaut provided us with roast dinner , then chicken salad for both our work food today ,, then tonight dinner for me plus another chicken salad for the wife tomorrow plus chicken sandwiches for me .

Marrows supplied by a kind neighbour along with courgettes now cause he,s grown too many potatoes out my garden Tesco Blue + white label carrots

Very cheap eating here if you work it out right

Is your watch slow or do you usually eat Dinner at 4.50 (PM I assume!)?

    Bit of an experiment.

Take a nice bit of fillet, smash it out a bit.
Mix up some big red chilli, garlic, woster and oil and coat.
Add salt, pepper, bit of cumin.

Add some chopped spring onion and corriander.

    [Picture missing because bat mot]

Roll up the steak and wrap in bacon, use a toothpick to hold it together.

    [Picture missing because phone charging]

Season and Pan sear the outside, baste with woster and oil and into a 200c oven for 15 min or so.

    [Picture missing because forgot]

Result - damn tasty, but because it's a small bit of meat should have turned it every 5 min
