Here's a review of Bonchon, Thong Lor
Normally I am not a big fan of the anorexic chicken wings available in Bangkok. I was however, pleasantly surprised when I took my first bite of the succulent chicken wings at BonChon in Seenspace 13, Thonglor.
During the soft opening of BonChon, I got to meet 2 of the 3 friends who discovered BonChon in New York and decided to bring the tasty treats here. All I can say is, what a great move.
Since BonChon first opened in South Korea in 2002, they have gained massive success in major cities around the world. And with good reasons too. Their chicken wings are different because they are fried twice, making the skin incredibly crunchy and surprisingly less greasy. They come in two flavours: Soy Garlic and Hot (price range from 150 baht – 380 baht).
At first glance, the chicken wings are served in a long platter with your selection of side dishes. At first taste, it is no wonder why BonChon was voted "The best wings in New York" (By Esquire magazine in 2009 and by New York Daily News in 2010).
The saucy glaze over the crispy chicken skin in contrast with the soft white meat is heavenly. Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside – what more can one ask for? It is extremely addictive so prepare to keep ordering more.
Another big favourite at BonChon is undeniably the funky seasoned French fries (with excellent dipping sauce) and saucy gyoza AKA BonChon Potsticker. Both are perfect complimentary dishes to suit the appetizing fried chicken.
Of course, this fantastic meal would not be complete without a fantastic selection of drinks.
We tried the strawberry, yogurt and lychee soju and were simply impressed. The type of drinks that deserves its own bar as the mix of alcohol and flavour blends with ease.
What we love about BonChon is how addictive it is – the food, the drinks and the atmosphere is welcoming. BonChon in Seenspace 13 is the type of place you can meet your friends for a casual hangout or serve as a meeting joint to eat and drink before a big night out.
Our official verdict? A must try – over and over again.

I haven't tried that place before, I will give it a shot but I'll have to go there as I don't think chefsXp will deliver to me.
Nope, born and raised in Saudi, moved back to Marin county California, just across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco at 12.Originally Posted by Dillinger

That's unfortunate that MM sold the place to begin with.
Thought he had a decent thing going there....
Had it's place - good food, fair service, intelligent operation, etc.
Why bother, if yo're not going to hang long term?
Even though, I understand his family concerns and the constent commuting.

Numbers of corpses and finger pointing photos wouldn't go amiss. Or do you load them in your wagon and distribute them around Essex on you daily round?Originally Posted by nigelandjan

The wife is on a business trip for a week and the kids asked for it. So Carnitos pork burritos again.]
first you cook at about 140 for almost 3 hours, covered in spices, onions and garlic and some red bell, then you pull it with two forks so it shreds.
then stick it under the broiler so it begins to brown, all the while getting your salsa, chips and beans on the table.
Then you add what you like, and roll it up and eat it. Cheers all.
being sure to did your chip in both the beans and salsa while you enjoy the burrito.

Cooked the bride a sirloin steak in the George Foreman grill last evening along with some Jambalaya and green beans. Sorry no photos.
I have to say that being back in the States for the holidays and being able to use my kitchen, utensils, condiments, etc and getting the foods I like to prepare make the dinners spectacular. The George Foreman grill is a great cooking grill.
