Have to buy these individually. I prefer a rack but this big I have no pan that will hold them while they are slow cooked in the oven. 4.5 hours, then sit for a while and on a grill of only medium heat to caramelize the rub. Last time the wife did not even use sauce which was for sure a first.
fixed.
Seems reposting pics from one's phone results in attachments only but the laptop will repost the entire pics.
weird, but ¯\_(⊙︿⊙)_/¯

Bored of the city I headed 60km out own town for 2 days.
Dinner 1 was Tsuiven- fried flour noodles, mutton and veggies
Day 2- Khuushurr- fried meat pancakes, in this case it was mutton.
A lot of beer during the day, I guess dry July won't be happening. Do long weekends count?
^Apparently there's a weekend exemption in place.
Dry July quickly became 'can you stay sober 4 days out of 7 over the course of a full month'.
Steak pie with all the trimmings... a six item meal for me, five for the daughter as she wont eat mushrooms!
Some kidney would have made this perfect, but some bugger had bought the entire stock of steak an' kidney from 'Korat Chef' this week.
It'll have to be home made pies next week.

I'll swap Mendips pie dinner for this fishy dinner...
Salmon kebab starters
Sea food platter
Sea Bass..
Chicken red curry..
Noodles kaboodles..
I wouldn't say I'm having a Dry July, but it certainly isn't torrential. Since I discovered Blackthorn Gold in Korat it's been a sedate one or two tins an evening before and during cooking. It's only 500ml at 4.8% so considerably less alcohol than a couple of bottles of Leo, and I've been told that because of all the apples it count as one of your five a day.
Anyway, convection oven baked garlic chicken, potatoes and carrots tonight. As part of my eternal quest to get vegetables into my daughter's digestive system I've started putting a bit of cheese on the veggies... Cheddar on the spuds, Parmesan on the carrots and I tried baking some Mozzarella on the spinach. It kind of works...

Good luck getting one at my town in Florida so.
Home made Pita bread. Not to hard to make , and tasted better that store bought.
recipe from YouTube.
Grilled a couple of steaks and made The Tzatziki Sauce (Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic , salt and pepper.
recipe from YouTube.
Cut the steaks in thin strips , tomatoes , red onions, a couple of spoons of tzatziki sauce. On a pita bread.
Viola!! a delicious Gyro, to go with my corona beer.

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.
For those who don[t know what a Gyro is (as one person indicated) ,
It's a Greek thing , OPA!!!
but you can get them all over the place in New York or Chicago.
IMO If you never had one, you have not lived.
Roast shoulder of lamb with home made mint sauce, baby new potatoes and bell peppers stuffed with rice and cheddar.
^Thanks, mate.
It was lovely.
Did our weekly Makro run today. Stopped at a local Thai kitchen – well buried behind one of the typical gas station stops on the expressway. This is an excellent, unadvertised kitchen – it is named but has no sign. Small family operation with mother and daughters doing the cooking and dad handling the register. Only has four small tables for eat in and very few customers eat in. Lots of take out traffic. Always fresh, always good eats.
So, this evening it was Pad Woon Sen Pak, Gaeng Som Goong, and Spicy Crisped Fish. Dessert of persimmons and rambutan.

That looks good and I do like it. I am 90% sure I could eat that every day.![]()
