Tonight we tried a bit of Thai Food; Gai Pad Prik Yeuk with Tom Yum Pla. Very nice and quite well spiced. Dessert of lam yai, mango and apple.

Lamb shanks tonight.
It just fell off the bone! Beautiful green peas.

Mendip gets a very nice from me !
I'll even go one step beyond and say his lamb is worthy of a Brucie bonus.
Fancied some ribs last night...
Put a dry rub on them (paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar and salt and pepper)
In the oven for about 2 and a half hours on 180c (I don't have a BBQ) before opening the foil, coating them with BBQ sauce and whacking up the heat for about 10 minutes on either side.
I'll be doing them again...
Look very nice Hal, Mrs Toot simmers hers first in water and then we season and BBQ (my job) - love going to makro and getting a couple of racks as a treat.
Baby corn, mushroom, snow peas, prawns fried in oyster sauce and with a side of BBQ chicken pasta salad.
^ are they burnt to a crisp?![]()
No, that's the rub/drunk photography, still nice and juicy
^ Did you take a knee
Too much sugar in the rub? They're pretty black...even for me.![]()
Two racks went in, one came out.
