You're gonna take on five guys?
That 8 ringgit wouldn't even get me a sachet of Mayo from there

Have them in Brum, where I think they started from
Expensive but taste amazing and fresh and a different class to your msg laden Maccy D and Burger King shite.

I tried Five Guys on a recent trip to the States and it was by far and away the best "chain" burger I've had. Very good burgers cooked to order, excellent chips, free refills and even malt vinegar with your pieces of potato heaven!

We ended up sharing one portion of chips and didn't even manage to finish them.

Chips with salt and vinegar: Brit heaven!

$25 for two freshly-cooked bacon cheeseburgers, chips and a drink, which was refilled as often as we wanted. No comparison when compared to the rubbish churned out by the likes of Mcdonalds and KFC.

You just know Jeff's typed that whilst either...

sat on the floor eating some mediocre Isarn dish, involving rodent, blood and offal in an Inamoto msg, oyster sauce and 30 chili marinade after his dung beetle entree
    or
in some Ameristani Portland trailerpark scoffing a Walmart TV dinner and poptarts

I certainly won't be going back.

Only reason we went was the eldest has a post flu craving.

Come on Chitty. You can afford it now you don't have to worry about shelling out for any more European fixtures.

Had some crispy fried chicken and battered zucchini along with some leftover stuffed baked peppers. No complaints here.

That's why it was so damned finger licking good!

Actually she takes out her big ass bone cutting butcher knife and the 5cm thick round chopping block and whacks the knuckles off the drumsticks prior to deep frying.
Don't know why, she just did it. First time I saw her do that but like I said, no complaints.

I'll get that Jerky recipe together some day. It's a different way than most I have seen. She's not home at the moment so later on that, it's beerthirty so peace out.

Hey, I wonder if she can do up some pig knuckles? Now that I think of it she does a great oxtail soup.

    Cheers, fishy.

I used to go there on occasion but the last time I went I decided that they were over priced and we have better locally owned burger places here in Seattle. The burgers and fries are good but as I said it is pricey.

By London standards I always found Five Guys to be a solid option when considering price and quality of the food. I've had some great burgers here in Mongolia but good french fries are harder to come by.

Damn Snubbs, I've got a tinfoil hat story. Surprised?
So a bit ago (quite a while actually) I was working in a joint just north of a Major hospital complex when my bud said there was a guy that came through and asked him for a smoke. Old Kev always had his smokes in his front pocket so no hiding those as they were easy prey for any bum.

He lit the strangers smoke and casually hit the house phone letting us know of his new found friend.

We invited the guy up and had a few drinks and laughs, water for him as we could see he had been parched as he had traveled a bit through the heat of the underground. Not often did we receive any company in the night so yea it was out of the ordinary 24/7..365.

Long story short we made some small talk ect, and a few calls later his friends came to get him in a flash.

As he was exiting the doors a friend of mine mentioned to the traveler that to avoid this round about next time he should sport a tinfoil hat to evade the inevitables....

    His eyes lit up.

Hell, I hope next time he makes it out of the basement.

Nice pics, I'm glad you made sure it was dead by killing it with your fork.

What's the dish at the bottom?

The other month, quite nice actually.
Was thinking it might be some Outer Mongolian desert of Yaks testicles.

Tonight's masterpiece, can anyone name the island my dinner is modelled on?

Well it ain't Gilligan's Island. Looks good, all you need is some Ginger or a little Mary Ann.
