The baby beets in the Yorkshire puds were a nice touch, care of Jacks allotment:)
Worryingly they have black slugs op norf - another reason to worry - not that i'm racist - nothing against KFC
That gravy was so thick you could stand a green bean up in it.
Learn to love the gravy!
Hmmm....Bisto:)
Nice chicken dinner that, ignoring the brown slugs...

I'd post the final dish but imgur.com seem to be acting up. Or TD changed something in the pic post process.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. This little dinner from a bit ago. Unfortunately I didn't take any decent pic.
She's a wizard in the Kitchen Fish, can take any old bit of scrap pork and hey presto ..... :)
M'Sahib and I went up to the airport this morning to despatch a young Chihuahua to Bangkok, having found a permanent home for him. On the way back, we stopped at an out of the way place for lunch which had that all too often rare combination of both good food and ambience.
A sizzling platter of fish, squid, prawns and mussels in a spicy sweet and sour like sauce was a good choice:

once the steam had dissipated:

some squid in a lemon sauce:

some prawns and stink beans:

strange but tasty fishcakes, with egg yolks in them:

and a decent green mango salad:

There are worse ways and places to spend a Monday lunchtime:

^ That looks amazing!!
The 'head' on that beer singh looks like it's a transfer on the glass, no?
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/.../mNGjHVd-1.jpg
Correct Cy. In fact when I got the glass I got a tissue to wipe it to make sure it was clean. However, the actual head was genuine.
Cost wise, not too bad. A large Singha was 115 baht (I had two) and the total bill according to M'Sahib was 1300 baht, including some unseen dishes. More than reasonable.
