Dill, I'm not much of a watch man myself. I have something that tells time and that is good enough for me.
Your bang on the money Poirotslap ! there are certain things I do with my left hand ( some being innapropriate for the dinner thread ) and others including batting at cricket , drinking , spooning , ironing ?? mixing / drilling cake mixtures, changing gear in civilesed Countries , and other things I do with my right .Quote:

BTW the watch is a Citizen Eco Drive as recommended by someone on here I believe many moons ago , its a beaut never wind it up or put a battery in it , keeps perfect time.
So it's something to do with the ferocious movement of your arm that keeps the timepiece going!Quote:

The spuds were actually semi crusty and the chops were underdone when I first took them out (roast rack) so I gave them a quick grilling which crisped up the outside but they wer succulent inside.
A very satisfying meal washed down with 2 fingers of Jameisons with ice water.

Early dinner Nigel? 4.50pm. You must've skipped lunch..:)
Thursday night I made up a really big Mexican feed for two close friends who were visiting me.
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2011/09/2404.jpg
We had fresh shredded iceburg lettuce, home made salsa and guacamole, refried beans with cheddar melted over it. The Mexican " pulled pork" or carnitas. Made some taco filling with both minced chicken and beef, along with tortilla chips. In reality it was too much for 8 people. We had soft flour tortillas for the carnitas burritos, and crispy fried corn tortillas for the tacos.
A buddy brought nice margaritas as well. But they could not compare to the best in the world made by SEA traveller.
Drool :) Looks lovely AO, I'm sure you had a great evening with friends.
Green most defiantly owed!
That mexican nosh up looks and sounds great.
