One of the local "restaurant rows" is Rama 9, Soi 49....last night I took the wife to a place called Emmies, next to Burger Bro and The Pho On Nine.

Incredible place, ambiance wise, the food was a bit disappointing....

Rolls with seasoned olive oil - The wife had never had that before, much to my shame.

For our appetizer, their rendition of the Canadian classic, poutine. I got it just because I'd never had it before, but had seen it on TV.....I'm thinking Canadians are turning over in their graves. The pulled pork on it was really tasty.

    The wife got the chicken

I got the crab ravioli - I'd recommend not ordering this one, the crab was a bit "off". I was going to ask the chef to come out and try one and get his impression, but chickened out.

We'll be back before school starts, their lunch menu is pretty good, a small pizza and either a Caesar salad or pasta for 240B.

Anything is better than a cat cafe...eating and drinking amongst cat dander is disgustiing.

Sparkles on a hamburger in a Unicorn cafe? I don't frigging think so...

But being able to masturbate in a restaurant while holding a fookin' stuffed cow, so to speak, now that's the epitome of fine dining.

^And what exactly were you cooking in Bangkok or Pattaya for your job (with work permit LMFAO ) or did everyone just say Fuck Off Chef when you applied, despite your "culinary background".

I think Queen Vic breakfast has been knocked into number 2 spot on the podium after this morning..
full Monty at Chequers British pub this morning at 285 baht.. I think its better value and better all round.
You get a bit of fried bread and some potato slices. You get more bacon as well.

Oh shit.. this is the dinner thread innit

    Chequers Full Monty 285baht

Hmmm fried bread tastes so nice but jeez that can clog up your arteries.

They reckon 500,000 tomatoes are thrown in the bin every morning, who actually eats them in a full monty?

Me. Better than tinned tomatoes.. I hate the bloody things. The juice spills everywhere and ruins everything

First noodles in a long time for me.. can't really stand Thai food much any more.

Im sick of spitting half the ingredients out when eating Tom yum or some other soup you know the ones... For flavouring galangal, those leaves
