Oh, I forgot to take a photo of the julienned bamboo shoots, but you can see them in the first photo and also in the finished dish.

The beef was cut into strips and briefly stir fried, later it was reintroduced to the pan with the sauce in it.
The other cooked ingredients were then brought together in the pan.
The finished dish.
Brexaisian beef tenderloin stir fry with onions, bamboo shoots and mushrooms in a Never-notiyaki-na sauce and served with premium Thai white rice.
It's really good. No kidding. I'd be happy to get served that in a restaurant anywhere in the world.
Good work.
Think I'll be copying you soon enough.
I'm no chef, Nev..... but i'm pretty sure you're not meant to use tenderloin in stir frys, you fukkin spunker

Indeed - the prolonged negativity towards Thai beef is that such is repeated over and again until all is true.
Thai beef has quite an earthy flavourful way about it.
And most cunts couldn't tell the difference from supposed superior Aussie, Argentine, Japanese, etc comparatives.
Cheers, Nev!!
It's inconsistent, Thai French is definately the best beef I've had here being a non imported beef, the steaks I get out of the freezer in Lao, from Aussie or New Zealand are woeful, you can't just throw em on the Barbie and pat Sheila on the arse while she grabs a coldie thinking it's all gonna be hunky dory, got to beat them rascals with the meat mallet and maybe a few hours of marination, the Thai French ones are usually good No need to beat or marinate them . 9 out of 10 are awesome might have one tomorrow, now that I think about it.

Here we go Roast lamb with all the trimmings
Cant forget the Kiwi aftershave
The little lady knocked up a nice steak dinner. Not rare enough for me though had to go back into the kitchen for some more bloody pieces after the pic.
The dark ends of the meat you see are actually coffee grounds and some other herbs she rolled the roast in before cooking. She is pretty innovative.
That's interesting. I've never heard of it before. unfortunately I'd need to eat t for breakfast. I can't have coffee after midday or I'm up until 6am.The dark ends of the meat you see are actually coffee grounds and some other herbs she rolled the roast in before cooking.
Me neither but it really did work and was tasty.Originally Posted by Auroria
Do you know if she soaked them first or anything, or just ground the beans or bought them ground, and basted them straight from the pack or grinder?
