For a bit of a twist I fried up these Korean spring onion pancakes. Which went down well there cheap in costco
And for the beef, a cheap cut, thinly sliced, a splash of Chinese cooking wine. A tbs of baking g soda, a tbs of cornflour , 2 tbs of soy, a splash of cooking sherry . An egg white. Mixed and left to do its magic, velveting it's called and works well innit. Google's my friend in my culinary challenged times

More of a light supper really. Taking a naan bread out of the freezer for lunch this morning, spotted a couple of bagels also. So, tonight for me and M'Sahib sharing, toasted bagel spread with garlic butter (again from lunch naan), topped with some freshly made pico de gallo.

I try to teach the daughter to eat properly... and to my mind, part of this is to keep your fork around the correct way. I remember as a kid, wondering why I shouldn't turn the fork around upside-down in the American manner and simply scoop up the peas. The daughter asked me the same thing today as she watched me balancing peas on he back of my fork.
But some things just ain't right. I think that standards are worth preserving.
