I reckon the nippers would be chuffed with that, the young bloke will eat peas but his bro wont. Im going to buy a few ham steaks or gammon if i can find it and see how they go with that.

Oh yes, horseshoe gammon cooked in garlic butter with egg, chips and peas/sweetcorn/beans.

I keep meaning to add that to my menu, and not telling anyone about it.

Held out one of the Ribeyes to grill. Outstanding taste

Properly resting while the tater finished up

So I went out on a limb a bit and saw some fresh peas at the market and picked them up. Wanted to see if it is worth filling an entire plate with them...answer NO.. 2 bites and done. Will stick with Broccoli, Carrots, Shrooms and Zucchini But the steak and tater were just right

Meat basically fell apart on the fork.

^ There's your mistake right there Stumps...frozen are better than fresh, especially in Thailand.

Birdseye frozen peas, and Talley's for that matter, are as sweet as the moment when the pod went pop.

^ Thanks for the tip Mendy....but Naaaah. I had those in the states as well and they taste like nothing, even my daughters hated them. The other veggies are far better tasting and far better for ya and I do not have to add sauces and gravies to make them taste better.

We'll have to agree to disapea!

By the way, health wise... did you know that, pound for pound, peas have more Vitamin C than oranges?

I had to google that Mendy. True to a point.......

But you should be cautious as they talk "Fresh". Not frozen or canned. People do not freeze oranges. They eat them Fresh. Anything typically pre cooked and flash frozen has lost a significant amount of their vitamins and health benefits versus Fresh. Why I do not have any frozen or canned veggies at my house. Just far to easy to ride my bike to the market and pick up fresh and cook fresh.

Me and my lads decided on a Subway last night but fortunately it was closed, so we nipped in the supermarket opposite and bought a few ribeyes and other stuff for the same amount that the takeaway would have cost.

Gonna have another meat feast bbq later with all my frozen bargains , it's gonna be epic!!
    Shalom

How about some smoked fish poached in milk and butter with some garlic, onion and shrooms, served over a gammon steak?

Not sure where that came from but sounds pretty good to me.

    Risotto?

    Stroganoff?

Goulash? (Looking forward to trying my hand at this one after getting stuck into it in Hungary)

Get some tortilla wraps in, you can make fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, pizzas... Get the kids making their own pizzas, my kids love it.

Try some Thai dishes, very easy.

    Smoked sausage stir fry?

    Stovies?

    Corned beef hash?

    Carbonara?

    Home made burgers?

    Beef Stew?

    Meat Skewers?

    Try a curry?

    Food for thought
    Lang may yer lum reek...

    FTFY....

Fire up the bbq and throw some burgers on, cook yours and show them how, then let them try, then advance to steak and chicken.

    Tons of stuff

OK then, no more contentious talk.

Twas the daughter's 12th Birthday today and we went to the premier Swiss restaurant in town for lunch. Chez Andy is an old friend and it was good to catch up.

Unbeknown to me, the guys at Chez Andy organised a cake for my lovely young daughter, once they heard it was her Birthday. I've sometimes tried to hide her name but I guess the cake says it all. The guys at Chez Andy did way more for my lovely daughter's 12th Birthday than her own twat of a mother, who went drinking with her dead-headed, sponging, retarded, chicken-headed friends.

Fukk me, I despise them all with a passion.

    But anyway...

Happy Birthday Jess! I love you to bits!

Thankfully her mother's genes are too lazy to run strong.

But this is where it's really at!

    Anyone can have cake.

Only special kids get Birthday steak and kidney pie... with peas!

    Happy Birthday Quine!

I don't care for cake, but make that an ice-cream cake and you got my attention!

My Loon turned 4 yesterday. I video called from the rig while he opened his presents, but he didn't give a shit about me. Still a touch young to understand. It'll be harder if I miss the next one.

Happy Birthday to your daughter Mendip.

That Steak and Kidney Birthday pie is priceless!

On Dirks suggestion yesterday I had a go at homemade burgers with a chitty twist.

I present through hallowed Doors of Teak....

The Aoiloi pesto, humour and spinach burger...
