Just like the time he was banging that Matron:)
This Slab of meat is still nice and juicy, none of that dried up old rump .
I might play it safe and turn it down to low and let it simmer overnight .
It's all about the foreplay, the longer the better.
Gonna be some nice sandwich action tomorrow you pair of shifters:):sexy:
Pizza for dinner, eh?
Blimey.Quote:
Sear the beef all over in a hot pan, and transfer to the slow cooker. Add the beef stock, red wine, tomato puree and sugar, ensuring that the beef is mostly covered by the liquid. Cook on low for 5 hours
It's not only the internet he Copies & Pastes.
I didn't prep it, I didn't pull it and I certainly didn't rest it.
If I had that much spare time I wouldn't use it on cooking.
But I did get more veggies down the daughter tonight than she's probably had in the last six weeks combined since I've been away, I reckon.
And we ate at the mahogany dining table... and actually talked about stuff.
I'm happy with that.
Oh, and my first decent portion of peas since mid-April!

lovely table
Nice gravy jug
Empty salt grinder.
A G&T is always nice
So... 'lovely' table and 'nice' jug...
I get it...
This is supposed to be the 'Dinner' thread guys, not the kitchenware appreciation society.
:(
Edit: I'm bringing the new salt grinder into action later this week, FFS. There's still a bit left in the old one.
And yes Mike, the G&T was vert much deserved,
OK, i'd swap out the sprouts for broccoli, not for any particular culinary preference but because i can't stand being around myself after I've eaten sprouts.
^ Fair enough Mike, but you can't expect me to plan my meals based on your own opinion of yourself?
I raise your chop, mash and peas n gravy Mendy, Roast chicken, Yorkshire pud, Roasties, greens n gravy.

BTW not a kitchen utensil was snapped in the production of this pic.:)
But would Edmond find that gravy boat worthy of drinking from....
Looks great Mendip, well, except for the peas of course. I bet your daughter was excited to have you back in the kitchen!
^ It wasn't chop an' mash you northern/midlands/manky, it was pork chops with mash and veggies.
Yeah, we had gravy and stuff also.
Judging by the size of the portion you got more veggies into her than most kids have had in the last 6 years. :)
Welcome back. :)

A 10pm dinner of nachos, topped with pulled pork, jalapeno salsa, served with an icy one and football. Quite agreeable. :yup:
I discovered something tonight. After I ran out out tonic water last night I had a couple of discreet gin and oranges with dinner, pretending it was just orange juice. The bladdy daughter knew all about it and took the piss out of me today. Don't they grow up fast.
Anyway, with left over mash in the fridge I decided to make use of a tin of salmon I brought back from work.
Salmon fish cakes, with some leftover peas mashed in. I'm making up for lost time and having peas every day now. Tomorrow I will try out the new pea recipe the Swedish girl at work gave me.

Phark me, you had better grub on the boat… and that’s saying something!
