I'm sure the wife calls it 'jok'.

Mind you, she calls baramundi 'carrymandy', which always makes me smile.

And she calls Lola... 'Raurah'. That makes me smile as well.
Chin up you may get a rubbery jubbery brow job

I have to hand it to you Cyrille, I do believe you are correct.

    I ain't telling the wife.

It will remain 'jok' in this household.

    From Google...

No, jok (โจ๊ก) and khao tom (ข้าวต้ม) are not the same; they are distinct Thai rice dishes where jok is a thick rice porridge made from broken-down rice grains (similar to congee), while khao tom is a more brothy rice soup with whole or partially broken grains. The primary difference lies in the consistency, with jok being smooth and porridge-like and khao tom having a coarse, more liquid texture with visible rice grains.

Khao Tom and Jok are not interchangeable.

Khao Tom Mat is neither here nor there.

    Mendip's Google quote is correct.

Or in BLDspeak when he's wrong about something, 'pedantic'.
