It's nice bread. I get it at Makro and have been eating it for years. I think they bake it on site.

The crust holds together well in water and it's great for fishing as well. Farmhouse Bread just goes soggy and drops off the hook.

Edit: Just to clarify, smoked herring from Korat Chef, bread from Makro!

Ah, Makro. Not somewhere I frequent, Mendip. Went there once many years ago and never went back. Thanks for the info anyway.

    Cheers, Nev!!
Their pies are great, Jeff. And they deliver - or they used to - but I'm not sure if they will deliver to Portland. Maybe Sukothai though.

    Cheers.

Not boasting, but my steak and kidney pies are better.

One evening this week we're having Korat Chef Cornish pasties, probably with chips and peas.

    I'll report in due course.

At 60 quid for a bj, behind Welcome Break, it'd be rude not to.

^ 60 quid??? Bladdy hell, that's inflation for you. I hope she took her false gnashers out for that price.

You should have gone to Gordano.

It's strange but with this new health drive I'm on, the thought of a full Welsh English holds little appeal, however subsidised it is.

A couple of breakfasts from Korat this week...

One morning the wife made me this enormous omelette, which was OK.

I mentioned to her that I was trying to eat more fish now for my cholesterol, so another morning the wife made me this...

It didn't really work to be honest... a fusion mix of Norwegian mackerel paste on toast, a tomato and an organic Korat fried egg.

I ate it of course but I can eat just about anything these days, and enjoy it.

It's scrap ham, it comes in half circle cuts.

They overlap more in the middle.

Far from the entire pack, comes in 1kg packs.

    Makro.

That Welsh Enfglish looks good value for money. Are tarts and bridges compulsory though?

    ^^

    Now that's a proper salad!
    But for breakfast? No thanks.
A late brunch maybe with a well done chunk of meat.

It's get fvcked Friday hey Ciz, how many Cheers Beers have you necked already?

It's a long week up in Nakon Nowhere hey...

Point of order - I wouldn't refer to a 7am Brandy as "cheeky" but more of a "WHOOSH"...
