Heres the easy bit. I added a tiny can of capsican, a can of baked beans , some rice the wife had leftover and a jar of mission Salsa heated it all up ,

Mixed in some cheeze and hey presto theres your mixture, for the mission wraps you just pop them in a dry frypan super hot for a few seconds and take em out roll em up, couldnt be easier. The pack contained 12 they had 6 each and were bloated. Sorted

One of my favourites, a roasted pumpkin and carrot soup. Peeled and cubed the pumpkin and carrot, and gave a liberal sprinkling of olive oil before roasting. Sliced the onions and got the spices ready.

Slowly fried the finely sliced onions for about 20 minutes.

before adding mustard seeds, ground coriander, cumin, turmeric, cardamom and chilli powder.

mixed in to coat the onions.

and adding the roasted pumpkin and carrots.

stock added, and brought to a simmer for 5 minutes.

then blitzed with an immersion blender before adding some coconut milk.

Because the soup has almost the consistency of an Indian dal, plus of course very Indian spicing, went for making some chapatis rather than my customary croutons.

A spoonful of yoghurt stirred in, and good to go.

The best chapati I think I've seen, those.

They don't normally look that appetising.

Very simple to make, only Atta, the Indian wholewheat flour, and water, no salt or oil. As each one is cooked, brushed the top with melted butter before stacking.

Ee-doh's working, so left to me own lazy-ass devices for lunch.

    Ahhh, Bisto.

Was so tasty I actually took it to the beach veranda* as opposed to me normal Sofa-in-front-of-the-TV dining arrangement.

    * I'll have Edwina clean the table later.

Fight-training starts again next week. Time for an icy beer me thinks.

The corners of square plates always get chipped like that. You're better off with round ones.

    And some peas.
