Of all the people living there; Of all the people who partied there on that night there must be thousands of photos and videos of that night and somewhere someone has a picture or three of the little rapist on the island on that night.

Come on YJ - trust the police, they have their own processes and are trying their best to do a good job. So good a job that all the Wai MErchants on here have abandoned their support of them in this regard and are noticeable by their absence.

This CSI LA guy investigating the murders doesn't add up supposed to be Thai, but lives in USA, but can't write English, doesn't seem to do any of the investigations himself.

He was asking yesterday for info about a Tom Bright whom he says is a Aussie, though with a very simple google you can find he's german but takes on the name of the Ong bak movie star.

His name was actually Matt Barratt, and Tom Bright was his travelling mate. Another person who was there in the bar the night of the altercation and not come forward. It's people like him who could positively identify who it was that had the set to with David and why and yet he keeps silent. Poor form really.

If the General is so concerned about interfering and meddlesome foreigners etc whom he says " do not understand our processes " then perhaps he should clarify whether or not the disgraceful treatment of a British national, Jason Sudhra, in Pattaya this year is typical of the judicial process in Thailand.

That case, vividly documented by Andrew Drummond in a recent addition to his site, involved the false arrest, detention and unlawful conviction of Mr Sudhra who was subsequently incarcerated in prison, sentenced to serve one year and all without even appearing in Court. He had no interpreter, no representation and no evidence was produced by the police who extracted a bogus " confession " by trickery.

I do not understand why the British authorities have not raised this with the general in the course of this current travesty since the " processes " bear some similarity.

The Thai judicial system is an oxymoron.

No loss of face if found not guilty by a British trial, innocent go free.
UK coroner will give murder by person or persons unknown, case remains open. One day someone will leave a DNA trace on something.........

Burmese migrant worker Maung Maung – held in Thai police custody for two weeks as a potential witness in the Koh Tao murder case – has been released and says he wants to return home to Burma immediate.

I am pleased to hear that he has recovered sufficiently from his Injuries.

Suspects are tried in the country where the crime was committed not where the victim(s) hailed from- extradition to UK can never apply.

To give a recent example, Lee Aldhouse (from the U.K) knifed to death the American dude and was extradited back to Thailand for sentencing.

He was successfully extradited to stand trial.

The Home Secretary, Teresa May ,and the British courts were seemingly convinced that the Thai judicial system would offer a fair trial.........

With friends like that, who needs enemies.

No way would the U.S. or any other European country do such a thing.

The whole thing reminds me of watching one of the cringe making movies where the lead character goes from one act of stupidity to the next and you watch through your fingers. There is a striking resemblance between prattyuth and Mr Bean as well.

Sorry, I worded it incorrectly, I should have said "stand trial" instead of "sentencing". Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

I said pretty much the same a couple of weeks ago before these two unfortunates were put in the frame.
Their voice would surely give impetus to demands for a fair and transparent trial.
Maybe the FCO is holding back for a reason?

This case hinges solely on whether their DNA matches the samples taken from the girl's body.
Everything else is extraneous.

Someone needs to look into the possible ways that there was a switch, then press that angle.

Also, DNA can be printed as a chart. Copies of their DNA need to be sent to England to see if they match up with the DNA that the British coroner undoubtedly took from her body when it arrived there.
