As for governments, I don't think Iran has changed much in the last 20 years.
The late Ayatollah Khomeini, Iran’s spiritual leader seemed to think it was ok to bugger babies.

The other point is that this fellow is now no longer Muslim, and his reasons for this are quite clear me thinks.
