you want to talk about debt under president obama.....OK, remove the cost and interest of those three items and recalculate...then we can talk about the debt under president obama.

snubster the debt is the accumulation of deficit. It counter intuitive to imagine the deficit going down while the debt quadrupled. It just does not work that way amigo.

Sure enough Bush increased spending with Afghanistan and Iraq. But the gross national debt was 4 trillion under Bush, now it's 16 trillion. You don't have to be a genius to understand them numbers.

How about the Deficit Reduction Act of '93? It lead to budget surpluses and passed both houses of congress without a single Republican vote.
