today's republicans/conservatives/teabaggers/independencts/whatever don't deal in reality or facts....because they can't....no matter how hard foxnews tries to spin it.

they used to be considered the 'daddy party'....strong on the economy and defense.

whooops......they ruined the economy and lost two wars.

they no longer have any policy strengths, so they enlist half-wits to copy and paste misinformation, half truths and flat out lies on the internet....while running away from facts.

    again.....gee, who does that describe?

Well, how come it was the Republican Party who wanted to give the Blacks their freedom but the Democrats figured that was not to be, eh?

^ Does someone actually have to explain that to you?

The racist white people who made up the democrats in the past have become republicans. They did a flip flop years ago.

You wanna know what's pathetic? Check out this White House Flack - Pfeiffer, Who Still Blames Obama Economy on Bush

Thanks to Obama’s failed far left policies, the US is suffering through the worst recovery on record.

White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer once again blamed the failed Obama economic record on “the financial crisis he inherited,” before Chris Wallace reminded him that the recession ended more than four years ago.

Media outlets such as Fox News and MSNBC have a negative impact on people’s current events knowledge while NPR and Sunday morning political talk shows are the most informative sources of news, according to Fairleigh Dickinson University’s newest PublicMind survey.

Researchers asked 1,185 random nationwide respondents what news sources they had consumed in the past week and then asked them questions about events in the U.S. and abroad.
On average, people correctly answered 1.6 of 5 questions about domestic affairs.
Because the aim of the study was to isolate the effects of each type of news source, they then controlled for variables such as other news sources, partisanship, education and other demographic factors.
They found that someone who watched only Fox News would be expected to answer 1.04 domestic questions correctly compared to 1.22 for those who watched no news at all. Those watching only “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” answered 1.42 questions correctly and people who only listened to NPR or only watched Sunday morning political talk shows answered 1.51 questions correctly.

    Picture: Fairleigh Dickinson University
In terms of international news, people correctly answered an average of 1.8 of 4 questions.
With all else being equal, people who watched no news were expected to answer 1.28 correctly; those watching only Sunday morning shows figured at 1.52; those watching only “The Daily Showfigured at 1.60; and those just listening to NPR were expected to correctly answer 1.97 international questions.
Those watching only MSNBC were expected to correctly answer only 1.23 out of 4, while viewers of only Fox News figured at 1.08. The study noted that the effects of Fox News, MSNBC and talk radio depended on the ideology of the consumer.
“Ideological news sources, like Fox and MSNBC, are really just talking to one audience,” Political scientist and poll analyst Dan Cassino said in a press release. “This is solid evidence that if you’re not in that audience, you’re not going to get anything out of watching them.”

    Picture: Fairleigh Dickinson University
Thus, those who watched no news—answering questions by guessing or relying on existing knowledge—fared much better than those who watched the most popular 24-hour cable news network (i.e. Fox News).
Cassino concluded that “the most popular of the national media sources—Fox, CNN, MSNBC—seem to be the least informative.”
It is a follow-up to a 2011 survey of 612 New Jerseyans that found, among other things, that those who watched Fox News were 18 points less likely to know that Egyptians overthrew their government than those who watch no news at all.

Never watched Fox. Don't plan to either if this is their standard of reporting.

^ the video above that is 1:30 just shows how stupid the propandists and sheeple are.

All of the figures were oversimplified.

Also, Obama - or any President - cannot wave a magic wand and make "unemployment go down" and "poverty decrease" and "labor participation improve."

The statistic on poverty from 6 million to about 46 million is laughable.

The video was based on falses premises and stupid reasoning - but just look the target market audience.

Excellent post. As I suspected all along you are better off with no news at all then watching Fox news. I am not surprised by the results as many of the smartest people I have ever met listened to NPR.

    MSNBC is garbage.

I stopped going to their site after the MSNBC writer edited comments by Zim during the Trayvon-Zim fake story. Outright lying, when you edit comments. The writer wanted to stir up racial sh*t. Yes, he got fired, but it shows what dupes work there.

Also, the other slants and headlines are garbage.

What's with the race card again with the "cheerio tweet."

Fox News - the only news outlet that doesn't carry water for Obama:

Last fall Obama accused Fox of lying about the increased costs of Obamacare, and just last week he complained that Fox and Rush have prevented him (the greatest orator of all time!) from getting his message out:
"... the issue has been the inability of my message to penetrate the Republican base so that they feel persuaded that I’m not the caricature that you see on Fox News or Rush Limbaugh, but I’m somebody who is interested in solving problems (with my pen and my phone)"
To whichCharles Krauthammer (Fox News contributor) responded that it was "rather unseemly" for the President of the formerly free world to be "so whiny."
"You've got NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, CNN, of course MSNBC. You've got Hollywood that's sympathetic, you've got the television entertainment side. You've got the major newspapers, The Times, The Washington Post. It's what Lenin would call 'the commanding heights of the culture' are all on one side. All of them. And what do you have on the other side? Fox News and talk radio. And you've got a President of the United States complaining that that explains the failures of his administration,"

    Pretty heavy, man...

I love the way O'Reilly keeps saying "Some people think..." or "Some people say..." when what he really means is "All I keep banging on about on my stupid fucking show is.....".

Heh...another kick in the teeth to you Fox News Haters!

    James Carville Joins Fox News

The people at Fox News are apparently serious about being “fair and balanced” as proved on Thursday, when the network hired veteran Democratic activist James Carville to serve as a contributor of political commentary on the channel.

"The “Ragin' Cajun,” who led Bill Clinton's successful presidential campaign in 1992 and spent most of the past decade as a political commentator for the Cable News Network, joins such outspoken liberals as Juan Williams, Kirsten Powers and Bob Beckel on the channel's roster.

Carville hosted Crossfire on CNN from 2002 until it was canceled in three years. He later served as an adviser to Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign and last year lent his name to the Ready for Hillary PAC, which has dedicated itself to supporting Clinton's 2016 presidential ambitions.

Carville is currently a political science professor at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has written several books, some with his wife, GOP strategist Mary Matalin.

Carville and Matalin were both shown the door -- along with several other long-time commentators -- by CNN's new president, Jeff Zucker, during January of 2013.

"James’ successful and storied career in politics over several decades is an enormous asset to Fox News," Bill Shine, the network's executive vice president of programming, said in a statement. "We are privileged to have him lend his breadth of experience, wit and dynamic perspective on the network."

This much is certain: Having James Carville on the set of Fox News is bound to result in arguments and fireworks, just as those provided by Williams, Beckel and Powers. Critics of the cable news network would do well to remember that the so-called “cons
ervative” channel is far better balanced politically than any of its competitors."
