Gee, hatter must be losing money in Burma.
the 'reporters' at fox 'news' don't even understand the most basic elements of journalistic ethics...
here's one interviewing derek jeter...
"his accolades are endless"
"the last pure athlete"
"so many people think that you are this perfect guy,"
"do you have any flaws"
but what she neglected to mention is that her husband is jeter's longtime agent.
pathetic.
^^^^^
I thought the interviewer (whoever she is) was fawning. A bit OTT. Thanks for the interview, piece.
And yes, what is this "pure," and "perfect?" I don't like these words being used for people.
Butterfly a little surprised with your generalization here..
I am 32 and was raised a Christian Conservative on a small dairy farm.
At 8 years old I was out helping with chores as we were taught..
By 13 I was helping stack bales of hay and every other bit of work around our farm.
Our family was parents, grand father and 4 kids.... Mom and Dads yearly income through the 80's was around 20,000 $... So my family was said to be *by government standards* below the poverty line..... I know what it is to come from a poor background and to work for everything you get.. My parents had a lot of pride and refused government help of any kind. We were taught to earn everything we have.
any way long story short I currently work a Salary job which requires on avg 60 hours a week and going to school full time, and still believe in God... yeah I know thats not so popular these days...
I hate welfare when people abuse it...Case in point the octo mom. I think the rules should be tightened up so people who are capable of work do so.. however instead of increasing welfare I would rather see the government put more effort towards helping people with training for new jobs...
I believe in the government to do what it can to help people, but not just take care of them. MORE IMPORTANTLY ... I believe we have to live within our means...WHY CANT WE EXPECT GOVERNMENT TO DO THE SAME>??..
...
Any way I'm a CONSERVATIVE... So by your standards I must be a fraud... again thanks again for the generalizations.
my condolences.Originally Posted by AjarnJonesy

Those values my parents taught me gave me the work ethic I needed to improve my life and my situation... And even more importantly it gives me the opportunity to be in a place to help them now.....
Regardless of political or religious beliefs we can agree on the importance of hard work...
i suppose it has its merits....Originally Posted by AjarnJonesy

Is this soldier's (man's) view biased?
And if so ,how is it biased?,what has motivated him to speak out?
This is coming from someone who has been in the thick of it...he should be hardened and hating...right? Yet his humanity has remained intact??
We are hearing,in my opinion, one man's honest opinion based on personal observation and participation.

I don't even give partial trust to the Economist anymore...
Heh...well look at this Moonbats!
Too bad Lamestream Media still doesn't get it...

I am sure they will be absolutely gutted to know that bitter old ladies in Canada with extreme right wing views are no longer trusting them. Even partially.Originally Posted by Jet Gorgon
