Since we were talking about the "US presence in the Middle East", one assumed you weren't talking about the "coalition of the willing".

And Saddam's actions against his own people didn't trigger the invasion, or they would have finished off the job in '91.

In fact you must be one of the few people left on the planet that doesn't know it was the US that supplied Saddam with the materials to make his chemical weapons knowing that they would get used.

I was not connecting the invasion of Iraq with Saddams horrible human rights record only wondering how feel about that type of leader.

Yes I am unaware of any proof of the U.S. Providing Saddam withe means of producing chemical weapons. If you have this proof I would certainly like to see it.
