Looks like it will be a clean sweep in Virginia with 99.92% reporting.

The teabaggers/rethugs/GOP were shown the door today in a bluer Virginia.

    McAuliffe (D) wins governors seat

Northam (D) wins lieutenant governors seat

Herring (D) wins attorney generals seat

    edit: Damn

Not a clean sweep with 100% reporting

    correction: Clean sweep

The difference between a vote cast and a vote counted was nowhere clearer than in the Virginia race for attorney general. A week after Election Day, Democrat state Senator Mark Herring proved victorious over Republican state Senator Mark Obenshain by a margin of 164 votes out of over 2.2 million cast, according to the Virginia State Board of Elections unofficial online tally. Localities had until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to report numbers to the state.

Things are looking better and better for the GOP with House Democrats is open revolt against Obama's lying re his vaunted health care debacle:

House Democrats Have Lost Their Patience With The White House Over Obamacare

Frustrated by the problems with Obamacare, Democrats are fed up with how the administration has handled things. “He doesn’t have to run again,” Rep. Jim Moran said of the president.

WASHINGTON — As the problems with Obamacare seem to grow by the day, anxious House Democrats have reached their tipping point.

Millions of their constituents have received cancellation notices from insurance companies, despite President Barack Obama and Democrats repeatedly promising that “if you like your plan, you can keep it” under the health care law. Meanwhile, the troubled HealthCare.gov continues to be plagued with issues, and the administration is struggling to get it fully functional before the end of the month.

Now, many House Democrats, who just weeks ago were ready to stick by the White House through the troubled rollout, now have no problem making their displeasure with the administration known.

“The frustration is they are setting up deadlines they know they can’t meet. They are not going to meet the Nov. 30 deadline, I would bet anything on that. If I had a farm I’d bet the farm on that,” said Virginia Rep. Jim Moran."

^ I just love it how Boontard spams promising looking headlines without ever actually reading what the articles have to say

"20 percent approve of the way congressional Republicans are handling their jobs, compared with 73 percent who disapprove. Interestingly, 30 percent approve of how Democrats in Congress are handling their jobs, compared to 62 percent who disapprove."

Louisiana Republican Who Backs Obamacare's Medicaid Provision Wins Seat Over Teabagger Favorite

Louisiana voters elected Republican Vance McAllister in a runoff to fill the state’s vacant Fifth District U.S. House seat on Saturday. McAllister, a businessman who embraced the expansion of Medicaid available to the state under the Affordable Care Act, defeated a Republican party favorite who called for full Obamacare repeal.

In a district won by Mitt Romney with 61 percent of the vote in 2012, two Republicans were the top vote-getters in a 14-candidate October primary. McAllister, who received nearly 60 percent of the vote in Saturday’s special election, criticized much of the Affordable Care Act, but also criticized Gov. Bobby Jindal’s (R) decision to dismantle charity hospitals in the state, and to reject its Medicaid expansion, which would expand the qualifications for Medicaid recipients and extend healthcare coverage to hundreds of thousands of uninsured Louisianans. “Our governor and Sen. Riser right here have gutted [heath care] to the core and privatized it.”

McAllister’s top opponent, State Senator Neil Riser (T for teabagger), received support from House Republican Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA), three of the four other Louisiana Republican Congressmen, the National Rifle Association, FreedomWorks and, more tacitly, Gov. Jindal. Riser ran ads saying that he would go to Washington to balance the budget and stop Obamacare — not make friends — and slammed McAllister for ” attempting to redefine himself and stand with President Obama.”

Dear Teabaggers,..you are hated by everyone

Coupled with the massive fraud that is at the heart of Obamacare we now learn of the base corruption involved with the last national election. Another day, another Obama Scandal - the GOP can only benefit from all these evil deeds:

The Census employee caught faking the results is Julius Buckmon, according to confidential Census documents obtained by The Post. Buckmon told me in an interview this past weekend that he was told to make up information by higher-ups at Census.

Seems Florida is getting ready to toss this asshole Rethug Rick Scott and it couldn't be soon enough.

November 21, 2013 - Florida's Scott Starts Reelection Year 7 Points Down, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds

Florida Gov. Rick Scott, the Republican, enters his reelection year trailing former Gov. Charlie Crist, the Republican-turned independent-turned Democrat, 47 - 40 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

This compares to a 47 - 37 percent Crist lead in a June 18 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University, and a 50 - 34 percent Crist lead in March.

Gov. Scott gets a negative 42 - 47 percent job approval rating, compared to a 43 - 44 percent score June 18, Scott's best score ever. Voters approve 53 - 36 percent of the job Crist did as governor.

Scott tops Democrat Nan Rich 43 - 35 percent. In a Democratic primary, Crist tops Rich 60 - 12 percent.

Scott does not deserve to be reelected, voters say 53 - 37 percent. Saying no to four more years are Democrats, 83 - 9 percent, and independent voters, 56 - 36 percent. Republicans say yes 70 - 20 percent. Women say no, 57 - 32 percent, and men agree, 49 - 43 percent.

In the matchup with Crist, Scott takes Republicans 80 - 11 percent while Crist takes Democrats 86 - 4 percent. Independent voters go 44 percent for Crist and 41 percent for Scott.

"Former Gov. Charlie Crist remains ahead in the race to be the state's next governor, but his lead over incumbent Gov. Rick Scott has narrowed since March," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

"But Crist still does better among Democrats than Scott does among Republicans and holds his own among independents. The winner will be the one who does best among his own partisans and carries independents."

It seems the GOP really don't like Obama and will do anything to be obstructive.

One nominee ( A republican!) was blocked by the GOP for 12 months before being approved by a vote of 93-0!

They really aren't fit to govern, are they?

Fortunately, the Dems used their majority to remove this ability to block a perfectly normal Senate process being abused by the republicans. I'm sure the Republicans will be squealing like pigs, but they've abused their power in Congress for so long, and abused their minority rights in the Senate too, that they can have no right to complain.

Senate Democrats took the dramatic step Thursday of eliminating filibusters for most nominations by presidents, a power play they said was necessary to fix a broken system but one that Republicans said will only rupture it further.

Democrats used a rare parliamentary move to change the rules so that federal judicial nominees and executive-office appointments can advance to confirmation votes by a simple majority of senators, rather than the 60-vote supermajority that has been the standard for nearly four decades.

As of today, the entire filibuster is effectively dead.

The immediate rationale for the move was to allow the confirmation of three picks by President Obama to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit — the most recent examples of what Democrats have long considered unreasonably partisan obstruction by Republicans.

In the long term, the rule change represents a substantial power shift in a chamber that for more than two centuries has prided itself on affording more rights to the minority party than any other legislative body in the world. Now, a president whose party holds the majority in the Senate is virtually assured of having his nominees approved, with far less opportunity for political obstruction.

Well, harry, did it ever occur to you Obama doesn't have a blank stamp? Perhaps this one individual blocked for 17 months was, in the words of the Obamacare promoters - "substandard"?

That's why we have three, count 'em 3 branches of government so that it's more difficult to run rough-shod over the minority party in Congress. Wait 'till the Republicans gain a majority and see what this little power grab that slimy Harry Reid has concocted - it'll bear bitter fruit for the Democrats.

And about time too. The republican party must think the average voter has a short memory, they really don't seem to give a toss about their public image. Maybe they're right.

I'll ask you the same question. Why do some folks seem to think whoever Obama puts forward for these jobs they should be rubber-stamped? That's what fillibusters are for - to keep *substandard* people off the Bench. Ideologically-driven substandard people.

Well, let me spell it out to you in simple terms:

Obama wishes to pack the Judicial Benches with ideologically-driven Judges rather than fill those vacancies with qualified people.

Something akin to that commie you voted for there in Seattle who wants to turn Boeing factories into non-productive use. You need qualified people in positions of responsibility and the one's Obama has put forth are, in the most part, *substandard*.

A simple comparison of republican fillibusters under President Obama to every previous Presidential administration shows you that they have turned into thugs, and do not give two hoots for protocol, precedent, or compromise. Ditto public image. So the adults in the room finally took their ball.

for years republicans thoroughly abused the rules of the senate, and they gave no sign of stopping... so this was most likely the smart play by reid and obama.

furthermore, the chances of the republicans taking the senate next year are slim, but it does remain within the realm of possibility.

the only way this ends of biting dems in the ass is if the republicans can somehow get to 51 votes in 2014....and that's a heavy, heavy lift.
