Bob Dole, former Senate majority leader, says the Republican Party should be “closed for repairs.”

More and more, responsible Republican voices are sounding off on the state of a historic American political party. The latest is that of Bob Dole, former Senate majority leader and 1996 presidential candidate.
The party has become so consumed with obstructionism over the past few years that it should be “closed for repairs,” according to Dole, one of its most respected and enduring elder statesmen. And he said it on Fox News. Clearly Dole was looking to make a point.
Dole was no shrinking violet as a senator. He fought with Democrats regularly. As Gerald Ford’s 1976 running mate, he was the ticket’s designated hatchet man. Twenty years later, he ran a vigorous, if not always well-focused, campaign against Bill Clinton. This is a man who understands the point of an election and of the need to draw sharp distinctions.
But he also understands the broader point, which is the fundamental need to govern. That is what his party has lost over the past 20 years, and especially since the election of President Obama in 2008. “It seems almost unreal that we can’t get together on a budget or legislation,” he said.

The current Republican party is a disgrace and a scandal. It is a real scandal, far bigger than that plethora of 'scandals' they try to peddle, so as not to get on with the business of government. Speaking as one who was on their side of the political fence for most of his adult life, it is an utter disgrace, and a shame on the great country of America. I seriously don't see why any thinking person would support them anymore, which just drives you into the tender arms of the Democrats (funded by many of the same people).

Just when you think it can't get any worse for the GOP...

Dallas Tea Party leader: "The Republican Party doesn't want black people to vote..."

It is evident that the TX GOP is no longer even trying to pretend that they're not waging a war on black voters:
Question: "What are the Republicans doing to get black people to vote?" Tea Party Activist Ken Emanuelson: "Well, I'm going to be real honest with you: The Republican Party doesn't want black people to vote, if they're going to vote 9 to 1 for Democrats."
^ Yep, he really said that...

Remember when GOP Tea Bagger Michelle Bachmann announced she was quitting last week and said it had nothing to do with the FBI investigation into her failed presidential bid? Yeah, we all knew that sounded pretty fishy.

    Well, as it turns out:

FBI Has Sworn Testimony & Documents Alleging Bachmann Approved Illegal Secret Payments

The FBI is examining money laundering allegations against Bachmann, as well as possible wire fraud and mail fraud.

The key claims against Bachmann are coming from two of her former campaign insiders -- former Congressional chief of staff Andy Parrish and former national field coordinator Pete Waldron. Waldron has filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Commission, alleging the payments to State Senator Sorenson were improper. Parrish has provided an affidavit to investigators, confirming Bachmann knew of and approved the payments.

I would so love to see this behind bars!

Issa Demands Hearings Into Why No One Listens to Him

WASHINGTON —The House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) today called for hearings to investigate why no one has paid any attention to him in the weeks of hearings he has called for thus far.
“There is mounting evidence that no one listens to me, not even one little bit,” he told reporters on Capitol Hill. “The goal of these hearings is to find out why.”
He said that he first became aware that people might not be listening to him when he read a recent poll indicating that Americans’ primary concerns are jobs and the economy.
“Anyone in his right mind would know that this nation’s No. 1 problem right now is Benghazi talking points,” he said.
The California congressman said that he also intended “to investigate the chain of events that have led to people changing the channel the moment they see my face.”
“There is a consensus out there that I am an odious, self-serving tool who uses congressional hearings to advance my own petty political agenda,” he said. “I think it’s important to know who created that impression.”
Finally, Mr. Issa said, he hoped that the new hearings would “determine, once and for all, to what extent my moral authority has been undermined by allegations that I have been involved in car theft and arson.”
“The question is, what do the American people know about me and when did they know it?” he said.

Rand Paul: Another result of inbred Republican racism

Is that Rand Paul hiding in uniform? Could be him or most any other Republican.

In an all too typical move by the rabid reactionary Republicans who believe the only future for their obsolete political party lies in a return to the intolerant, racist past, the obsolete leadership of the clan of the elephant is promoting another failure for office — Rand Paul, the lackluster and racially-tinged Kentucky Senator and son of thrice-failed Presidential candidate Ron Paul.
Paul — who is following in his father’s retarded habits of playing on the GOP’s inbred hatred of minorities, gays and progress — is touted as the GOP’s primary hope for a return to the White House in 2016.
If Rand Paul is the hope of the GOP, then hopelessness is the result. Like most regressive right wingers who dominate the party Paul may appeal to hardcore racists in Kentucky but — like his father — he will lack the appeal to succeed in a far more demanding national electorate.
Is Rand Paul as racist as his former Texas Congressman father? Probably. He has stated publicly that restaurant owners should be allowed to refuse service to minorities and he has a long, sordid history of backing legislation that targets and penalizes those are less than white.
The unwashed and brain dead flock who claim allegiance to Paul and his father claim both are strict Constitutionalists who represent the future of the nation. Is so, that future is warped and repressive. Both want laws that laughingly consider any unborn festus as human being, amendments that limit the rights of gays to marry and other equally repressive laws that strip humans of rights and individuality.
If Rand Paul represents the future of the Republican Party then the party deservedly has no future. If the GOP rallies around this miscreant then it should — and most likely will — descend into a well-deserved pit of political oblivion — one that has already consumed other failures like Ron Paul, David Duke, George Wallace, and those who deserve to disappear into the morass..
But while these bastions of inbred Republican racism, homophobia and intolerance will thankfully disappear from the political landscape, the hardcore right wingers will look for another standard bearer for a return to a past that is best forgotten and buried.
Racism — like gonorrhea and diarrhea — will remain as plagues in this country and will continue to find a home in the Republican party.

FACT- the Republican GOP is waging war on the poor and middle class.

If quoting conservatives like Bruce Bartlett is "propaganda" so be it. Your pathetic trolling doesn't make his opinion any less relevant.

How is he supposed to prove a negative?

In any case, you made the allegation so the onus is on you to back it up or withdraw it.

Note: I'm not saying if it is true or not because I don't know but you can't reasonably just throw random theories up and then demand that somebody else disprove them (well, not unless you graduated from Patriot Bible Liberty Freedom Constitution University™ along with BM and his ilk.)
