When someone is repeatedly posting propaganda, lies and falsehoods over and over again for years on end, I think it is more than warranted to declare them a fuckwit because that is indeed what they are. I have been debunking said poster's crap for years.

This from NAFO recruit snubski, who has been regaling us for months now about the fabled Ukrainian Winter Offensive and the pending epic humiliation of Russia. Don't think so pal
Anyway, why bother even rubbing it in- the TD 'Bellend poll' tells the rest of the story.

It’s embarassing that Snubski thinks he has the moral high ground. Repeatedly slating posters who disagree with his myopic viewpoint.

He is unable to accept that others have views that do not align with his own.

Cue another predictable hurling of abuse from our Seattle simpleton.

Putin Evokes Hitler as Cops Parade Soviet Secret Police Costumes

Not even local cops cosplaying as Soviet secret police and a newly installed bust of Josef Stalin were enough to prop up Russia’s Vladimir Putin as he emerged from his bunker on Thursday to deliver a speech marking the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in Stalingrad.

The Russian leader at times appeared to be tired of hearing himself speak as he repeated the Kremlin’s tired narrative that its war against Ukraine is really a war to save humanity from Nazis.

“Unfortunately we see that the ideology of Nazism in its modern form and manifestation again directly threatens the security of our country,” Putin said during a ceremony in Volgograd.

“Again and again we have to repel the aggression of the collective West. It’s unbelievable but it’s a fact: we are again being threatened with German Leopard tanks with crosses on them. And again they are planning to fight Russia on the land of Ukraine using the hands of Hitler’s followers, the hands of Bandera,” he told the crowd of army officers and youth groups.

“Those who draw European countries, including Germany, into a new war with Russia, and ... expect to win a victory over Russia on the battlefield, apparently don’t understand that a modern war with Russia will be quite different for them,” he said, mostly staring down at prepared remarks.

Though the city has been known as Volgograd since 1961, signs upon entry to the city were changed to Stalingrad ahead of the celebration on Thursday. Volgograd had initially carried the name Stalingrad since 1925 to honor Stalin, before it was changed as part of a nationwide de-Stalinization campaign.

It was the site of the fiercest battle of WWII in 1942-43 when the Soviet Red Army defeated German forces but suffered staggering losses in the process. The Kremlin has relentlessly sought, against all logic, to draw parallels between such WWII battles and its modern-day missile strikes on Ukrainian civilians, presumably to bolster support for its fledgling war effort as it drags into its second year.

Ahead of Putin’s visit, it seems that local authorities pulled out all the stops to pamper his well-documented nostalgia for the Soviet Union. A new bust of Josef Stalin was erected in the city, just a short distance from the monument to Victims of Political Repression, according to local media.

MediaZona reported that Soviet symbols appeared throughout the city, and local police donned historical uniforms of the NKVD, or the People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs, otherwise known as the secret police responsible for the extrajudicial killings and purges of the 1930s.

During a military parade, an announcer explained that the men were dressed as members of the NKVD’s 10th Rifle Division, which was credited with defending Stalingrad against Nazi forces.

But many commentators blasted the re-enactment on social media, arguing it was not a good time to evoke kill squads from the past when Putin is once again accused of using such tactics to control troops in Ukraine.

“Now they are honoring retreat-blocking detachments at parades in Russia. That fired upon their own. That’s all you need to know about contemporary Russia,” one wrote.

“Next year Wagner Group will be marching there,” another quipped.

Opposition activists in the city and demonstrators who’ve spoken out against the war in Ukraine said they were visited by police ahead of the parade and warned not to “make any mistakes”’ during the president’s visit, Kavkaz Realii reported.

Prison inmates, however, were a different story. On the eve of Putin’s visit, prison officials let 12 convicts out on an “excursion” in a bid to stoke their patriotism, local media reported.

Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, February 1, 2023
    Feb 1, 2023 - Press ISW

Ukrainian officials are continuing to warn about Russia’s intention of conducting a decisive offensive operation in Donbas in February and/or March, supporting ISW’s most likely course of action assessment (MLCOA). Ukrainian Main Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) Representative Andriy Yusov stated on February 1 that Ukraine is on the eve of an active phase of combat that will take place over the next two months. Yusov noted that the poor state of Russian military equipment will force the Russian military command to mass forces to outnumber Ukrainian defenders in order to make gains. Ukrainian Colonel Serhiy Hrabskyi stated that Russia does not have sufficient forces to conduct an attack along the entire 1,500km frontline in Ukraine and will concentrate its efforts on seizing Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. A prominent Russian milblogger observed that the prospect of a Russian offensive operation does not appear to be triggering panic among Ukrainian forces, who are continuing to build out their counteroffensive plans. ISW reported on January 31 that Ukrainian military officials reiterated their intent to launch major counteroffensive operations by summer 2023.

No doubt. Putin needs a significant victory and suspect he will have one. Without the equipment "otw" from the west, all they can do is make it very costly in terms of Russian troop and equipment loses.

That is not actually correct. The Ukrainians have quite a large supply of tanks still. They have not even used any of the hundred, or so, PT-91 Twardy tanks that the Poles gave them. They also captured hundreds of Russian tanks during the Kharkiv thunder run. Furthermore, they have the tanks right now to conduct a large offensive, the problem is that it has been too warm. Daytime temperatures are still above freezing in the daylight hours down south, which is unseasonably warm. So without that hard deep freeze, the ground is still too muddy to move heavy tanks.

But now that there are is a bunch of real powerful western offensive kit coming in, it would make sense to wait until they can fully utilize that. The next few months will be interesting.

Can you disprove it? There are loads of video proof of captured tanks. Furthermore, there is no video-documented proof of the PT-91 in combat, literally all combat action in this war is filmed to some degree. Do yourself a favor and do some of your own research.

As usual, you are completely clueless. There is no comparison to a western Main battle tank and the trash Russia has. In a toe to toe fight, wester tanks will win every time, and that is a fact proven time and time again on the battlefield. They are faster, more reliable, have more powerful guns and are more heavily armored. They have thermal optics and can operate at night. The list of advantages goes on and on.

For someone who spouts so much nonsense in these threads, you once again prove that you are utterly clueless about this war.

But do not take my word for it. Soon you will see for yourself what M1s combined with M2 Brads and Leopard 2s with Marder IFV's can do to shit Russian kit.

Putin’s Men Fear ‘Minced Meat’ Fate in New Offensive

Russia’s military is preparing for heavy losses ahead in a new offensive, according to a source apparently stationed at a Russian military headquarters in Ukraine, Novaya Gazeta reported.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is preparing to send tens of thousands of men to war in Ukraine knowing very well that he is going to make them into “minced meat,” the source said.

The source accused the Russian military of not taking any dangers of the offensive into account and predicted that the offensive would come at a massive cost.

The warning coincides with U.S. and other western officials warning that Russia is preparing to launch a new onslaught of offensive operations in the new year. Ukrainian intelligence has assessed that Putin has ordered the Russian commander of troops in Ukraine to seize all of Donbas by the end of this month.

Already, there are indications that Russia is in dire straits in its attempts to regroup and launch a new offensive, and aware that there may be some resistance to mobilization. British intelligence assessed last month that Putin is struggling to come up with new ways to mobilize more personnel to the front without causing domestic dissent over the war to grow. Putin ordered a mobilization of 300,000 last year and may be relying on more call-ups under those orders soon, the British intelligence assessment stated.

The goal of minimizing dissent appears to be bumping up against battlefield planning, though. The window of opportunity for Russia to make any gains in Ukraine is closing soon, the Commander of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Valdemaras Rupshis, warned, adding that “even a blind man can see that they are preparing for the next wave of offensive” in an interview with Novaya Gazeta.

Russia will be less able to secure battlefield wins the longer it waits to launch its offensive, especially as more western nations work to crank up their military aid to Ukraine, Rupshis said in an interview with Guildhall published Friday.

“The Russians understand that if they do not launch an offensive now, it will be too late by the end of spring,” Rupshis said, warning that all signs point to Russia preparing for a new offensive.

Satellite imagery analysis shared exclusively with The Daily Beast in recent days shows Russia has been building up a layered network of fortifications in order to try to hold onto the eastern Ukrainian territory it has already gained in Donetsk and Luhansk. Some of the imagery suggests Russia might be trying to go on the offensive to gain more territory as well, analysts said.

Andriy Chernyak, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, said this week that Ukrainian intelligence continues to assess that Russia wants to take all of the Donbas by March.

“We’ve observed that the Russian occupation forces are redeploying additional assault groups, units, weapons, and military equipment to the east,” Cherniak told The Kyiv Post. In some ways Russia has already begun offensive campaigns in eastern Ukraine to that effect, Cherniak warned.

“Even today, we are already seeing such actions in the Luhansk and Donetsk directions,” Cherniak said. “That is, the offensive is underway.”

Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces warned that Russia was continuing to conduct attacks throughout Ukraine Friday.

“There is a great danger of further Russian aviation and missile strikes across Ukraine,” Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces spokesperson said.

Already, Russia’s military operations on the ground are not going well, though, according to Ukraine’s military. Russia is running “offensive actions” in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdiiv, and Novopavlivsky directions, but is “suffering major losses in personnel and military equipment,” the spokesperson said Friday in a brief. “The opponent continues to suffer losses.”
