Spot on! Just another disingenuous untruth by a useful idiot. It is clear that when Biden said that last year, he was responding to a question about NATO entering the war by moving its tanks into Ukraine.

These clowns are on a roll today.

It isn't mainly about titanium or mainly about hydrocarbons, it is mainly about Putin's long held wish to push Russia's borders back to the Carpathians and to secure the Black Sea approaches.
However, it is convenient for Putin that the titanium and hydrocarbon reserves are greatest in the Donbas and Crimea and annexing those areas helps cripple Ukraine's economy.
Win-win from his point of view.
The slaughter of innocents means nothing to him.

What about the people of the Donbass and Crimea? Do they get a say? What about the people of Ukraine? Do they factor in this equation?

They are one and the same. The people of the Donbas and Crimea are people of Ukraine. If they don't like it they can fight about it amongst themselves.
What about the people of Ukraine? Russia has no business murdering thousands of innocents on the pretext of 'liberating' Russian speakers. It is a pretext for Putin's greater ambitions. Pretext, pure and simple.

^^ They are not one and the same. That is quite an insult actually, to the various ethnicities within what we diplomatically recognise as Ukraine.
Are the Quebecois and anglo-Canadians one and the same? Or the various other ethnicities within Canada, including the indigenous Canadians?

They are all Canadian. You want France to invade?

Every country now has a diverse mix. I grew up with Northern Ireland being a news item every day. Some sort of compromise common sense seems to have prevailed, for a while at least.

Indeed, and I recall at least two Referenda being held as to whether 'French Canada' should secede.
I was born in the UK- we have had Scottish and Northern Irish Referenda re secession. Let the People decide.
If either of those democratically elected governments was overthrown by a violent revolution, I daresay the Secessionists might succeed.

We being agreement by the UN members is in the biz of defining a nation and it's borders. The Ukraine is well defined as such. Russia has invaded it twice. Ethnicities, culture and languages spoken have nothing to do with defining soverieny. If it did Russia would have to be broken up for sure.

    Note Russia agreed in 1991.

    "Independent Ukraine (since 1991)

During the events of the dissolution of the Soviet Union, on 26 August, 1991, the Permanent Representative of the Ukrainian SSR,[6] Hennadiy Udovenko, informed the office of the Secretary General of the United Nations that his permanent mission to the international assembly would officially be designated as representing Ukraine.[6][7]

Since 1992, Ukraine has consistently supported peaceful, negotiated settlements to disputes. It has participated in the multilateral talks on the conflict in Moldova and promoted a peaceful resolution to conflict in the post-Soviet state of Georgia. Ukraine also has made a substantial contribution to UN peacekeeping operations.

During the Ukrainian crisis between 2013 and 2014, the UN adopted Resolution 68/262 on March 27, 2014, entitled Territorial integrity of Ukraine, by the sixty-eighth session of the United Nations General Assembly in response to the Russian annexation of Crimea. The non-binding resolution, which was supported by 100 United Nations member states, affirmed the General Assembly's commitment to the territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders and underscored the invalidity of the 2014 Crimean referendum. Eleven nations voted against the resolution, while 58 abstained, and a further 24 states were absent when the vote took place."

Yugoslavia, the Sudan, Palestine, Czechoslovakia, East Pakistan- are these your UN recognised immutable borders? They mutated. Ukraine is too.

So you reckon if they got invaded by France they'd voluntarily vote to be part of France, do you?

Ukraine certainly does have potential for development far beyond it's use as a sacrificial pawn in the great game. The sooner peace can be established, and reconstruction and investment can begin- the better for a suffering people.

Exactly! The propaganda narrative this useful idiot spin is painfully stupid. Imagine the UK claiming they would invade America to liberate English speakers. The fact is that there are tons of footage of Crimeans back in 2014 out on the streets challenging the little green men's invasion. Tons of video footage of civilians in liberated Luhansk oblast cheering their Ukrainian liberators out in the streets.
