I do not hate the US at all, or western democracies norton- that is bullshit. Actually I am very fond of the place and it's people. I do hold in contempt the neo-con dominated US foreign policy this century, or more specifically it's abysmal results. Like any democracy, the US is capable of change- but lets face it change at the Federal level seems to have been very difficult to arrive at this century- be it foreign policy, health care, raising federal minimum wages, or 'build back better'.

Yes, I was
Well, then you were half right. I am old.
And made a foolish childish comment.
Why should I take it upon myself to do the heavy lifting snubski, when the point has already been made more eloquently and credibly than I could ever originate by people such as:-I would like you to try and present it in a credible fashion.
Jack Matlock
Henry Kissinger
John Mearsheimer
Jeffrey Sachs
Noam Chomsky
Pat Buchanan
David Stockman
And many, many other people. That^ is just a partial list of prominent Americans. A growing band actually, as it dawns on people- Americans in particular- that after +$100bn USD and untold death and destruction, we find our collective selves in yet another bloody quagmire- but in in this case one in which the economic and geopolitical ramifications reverberate worldwide.
My basic principles as a Humanist-
1/- Let the People decide
2/ Let the People decide
Ukraine became a different Polity after the Maidan revolution- that is the case whether you considered it justified or not.
This is my opinion, but subsequent domestic policy from the post Maidan Kiev government hardly healed wounds, or the longstanding east/ west rift in 'Ukraine'.
There are parts of pre-Maidan Ukraine that overwhelmingly want no part of this pot-Maidan Ukraine norts. That is just a fact.
Tragically, with more enlightened foreign policy, this war (or phase of the war) could and should have been avoided. Moscow, Washington, Kiev and the EU all share some responsibility for this debacle that ensued.
Yes, a 9 month old video of a Senate committee hearing with Victoria Nuland providing testimony directly to Senator Marco Rubio.
Don't you think the average reader/ viewer is capable of working that out for themself recruit snubski? It's all of 65 seconds long.
I repeat. Russia invaded the Ukraine. Being a "humanist" would you do nothing because the Ukrainians deserved it? Not a difficult question.
You really are making yourself out to be a bigger and bigger fool with every post tonight. You clearly did not even bother to read the article I posted. Just sad to see you continue to embarrass yourself here.

Let the People decide. The Maidan revolution and coup occurred, and Ukraine became a different polity. You describe the Crimean Referendum and secession as a Russian invasion too norts.
National borders are not etched in stone, history tells us rather convincingly. They are more like lines in the sand. Yugoslavia, Ethiopia, Ukraine- actually bloody Europe in general.
Are you saying that only "We" can get to decide these lines in the sand, based on our extant political convictions? Very much last centuries thinking my friend. Winston would be proud.![]()
That is impossible on any level with Russian involvement. Proven time and time again.
It was an invasion and the "referendumb" was faked, as are all Russian "referendumbs". Only a fool would see otherwise.
In this case, they will be.
What a laughable clown you are. Truly the personification of a useful idiot.

Maybe leave this to the adults recruit snubski. Too many laughies- I cannot even be bothered reading it.
